The radio picks up all local stations and the sound is fairly good considering the small size

I could not stress strongly enough how bad the sound and reception is

Sound is, well it's a clock radio

It is a minimal amount of sound, but when you are trying to sleep and have an intermittent static sound coming on throughout the night it is unacceptable

The radio if you decide to use at work like I did, no good it might last for a good month then after a while it get static, you adjust it again it works once you move your hand from there static again, you hand is the ground it needs to give it a good sound

I have several Sony radios and cd players in the house and they are the only brand I have not had a problem in getting great reception on FM and AM, and they have such incredible sound......

The volume control and the station finder are not as convenient, neither is the sound the greatest in the world, but it is just a little, inexpensive alarm clock, so I can forgive it for these inadequacies

I don't expect a lot out of a small radio like this, but I have a Sangean which is even smaller, and the sound is much better.

It's enough sound for a small room, like a 18x18 or even a 24x24 (just to give some suggestions, otherwise any higher than that, the sound goes faint)

The alarm is loud enough but not too loud, the radio alarm works perfectly and the sound is not bad for such a small radio.
