    Sony MDRZX110NC Noise Cancelling Headphones

    • Don't expect amazing noise cancelation
    • If you want a good, cheap, quick fix noise cancelling headphone, I would recommend this product if you want something a bit more and extra I would go for a higher priced for more better quality.
    • love these, even hid the sound of the crying crotch fruit, masked all the cabin noise s well as headphones costing much more (looking at you BOSE), great value, good sound quality, would buy again
    • Con: Not enough Noise Cancelling to be truly effectiveCon
    • However don't install the battery, it causes a lot of hissing noise
    • Noise reduction closer to 70%, but perfect for airplanes, offices, and everyday commuting.
    • They are unable to isolate and remove sudden noises of any kind, and are unable to cancel out loud background noises
    • If you need the most powerful noise-cancellation available, you'll have to pay more
    • They don't completely cancel all noise around you, but they do allow enough noise to be cancelled for you to concentrate on your task at hand.
    • Very comfortable to wear Nice sound and noise canceling
    • The work well at canceling out monotonous background noise (airplane noise, heavy winds, etc.)
    • Crazy noise leak
    • affordable noise-cancelling headphone.
    • If you want more comfort and more powerful noise canceling, you must pay more.
    • They do almost nothing to reduce office noise and chatter, which was my main need, and on my recent trip on a jet, it didn't reduce the noise enough to bother with them
    • Good noise cancelling feature, though it mostly blocks out lower frequencies more than high frequencies- the rumble of the air conditioner and a fan is muted, but a faint hiss of moving air remains.
    • Great noise canceling effect.
    • Returned them and went back to my inexpensive "noise isolating" earbuds that block out external noises much better, as well as has much fuller sound quality.
    • Noise cancelling works great
    • Sound quality great, noise cancelling great, but my ears have never hurt so badly, had to return after using for only an hour or 2.
    • These Sony's are the cheapest noise reducing(not cancelling) headphones on the market
    • The noise cancelling element of the headphones don't work all that well
    • What I'd suggest is that unless you regularly travel with very loud bus engine noise, just get the non-noise-cancelling version of these headphones and a better pair of ear pads for them
    • These have better noise cancellation - they definitely do not silence people around you, but they do make things quieter, even without music playing
    • If you're looking for an inexpensive noise reducing (note, I did not say cancelling) headset for use on an airplane, the Sony MDRX110NC is a really solid buy
    • very good blocks most noise at 50%
    • Adjusted the fit many times to try to improve the noise but could only get a slight drop in the ambient flight noise.
    • The noise cancelling function works well when music is playing
    • I would give it around 50-60% noise cancellation, perfectly fine for being on a plane.
    • While they work well in a car/office environment, they do NOT reduce noise enough for good airplane use in my opinion
    • Comfortable and noise reducing works.
    • Noise cancelling works on trans Atlantic flights.
    • The noise leaks a little, but not until volume is over half way up so not a problem for me.
    • They would even work fine while traveling to dull out the white noise.
    • Wearing it is comfortable and can isolate surrounding noise
    • Noise cancelling works great, in face better than some more expensive headphone that I bought from a more prestigious brand
    • I'd rate the noise cancelling capability as fair after flying with them for over 12 hours.

    • Didnt need anything super fancy, just noise cancellation and decent sound quality.

    • Very comfortable, great noise cancelling, perfect for doing arrangements on my keyboard without bothering my husband.
    • I had been researching more expensive noise canceling headphones priced between $100 to $150
    • These are not audiophile quality phones (I have the fabulous open-back Grado SR80s for home use); rather, I use the Sonys for travel and the noise cancelling circuit works as well as any of them do, and also increases volume and bass presence (necessary as I thought I read somewhere that the ear perceives less bass in a pressurized airplane cabin)
    • Due to there being next to no sound for the headphones to pickup and therefore 'cancel', I would say that it's just a little bit of trickery as there would certainly not be enough sound in the environment to make the noise cancelling that effective
    • These headphones are reasonably comfortable and provide very effective noise cancellation at an affordable price.
    • They are cheap, poor sounding headphones with not very good noise cancelling.
    • They work best for consistent continuous noises like airplane engines and not so well for things like crying babies.
    • Best noise cancelling headphones for the price.
    • The headphones work pretty well, doesn't cancel all the noise from the TV though!
    • It took out sufficient engine noise to make the movies enjoyable
    • I bought these headphones because they were brand-name, noise-cancelling, and cheap.
    • (+)Very good noise cancelling for airplane noises only (can still hear people talking around)(-) Audio parasites when plugged in while no music is playing
    • They don't completely block out all loud noise, but they do block out a good amount with the noise canceling feature on
    • Don't buy if you are looking for pure noise canceling
    • Although these Sony MDRZX110NC headphones don't cancel out all the noise of a busy plane cabin on a uncomfortable transatlantic flight, they definitely make the noise more manageable and not as quite as draining
    • The noise canceling feature really works and the sound is good
    • Great sound with excellent noise cancelling and very comfortable.
    • You can notice that they are canceling some of the lower static noise in the environment, but only barely

    • Loud white noise, Fans running, traffic driving by your apartment window
    • If you turn off noise cancelling or the battery dies, the passive sound quality falls off a cliff
    • It's difficult to find a good noise-cancelling wired headphone set online.
    • These were affordable, had enough noise cancelling & fit the toddler.
    • Without the noise cancellation the plane noise is pretty loud but as soon as you turn on the noise cancellation all the humming and rumbling the plane makes disappears - at least about 90%!
    • He is very impressed with the sound quality as well as the noise cancelling.
    • It is not adjusted enough and external noise is filtered
    • Sound is decent and the noise cancelling works well
    • Promoted as the perfect noise cancelling headphones for air- travel...that is exactly what I need them for
    • Noise cancelling no good.
    • The active noise cancelling no longer works now
    • There seems to be no way to get official replacements and the only unofficial pads I've found do not provide sufficient noise isolation and as a result have significantly degraded the sound quality and cancelling capability
    • The noise cancelling was excellent for steady engine noise
    • I highly recommend them for airplane noise, road noise, or any other repetitive noise
    • Good sound and noise cancelling feature for this price.
    • Decent sound quality... when the noise cancelling feature works
    • Loud white noise, Fans running, traffic driving by your apartment window
    • These come in very handy when needing to block out unwanted noise.
    • Sure there are better noise cancelling headphones available for a lot more money, but at this price point these headphones are excellent value

    • You can add a battery to get better noise cancelling which you can turn off and on.
    • I used them on a few flights and the noise canceling worked to an extent

    • They pressed a bit on my ears and were a bit uncomfortable but for the price and the amazing noise cancellation that made music really enjoyable and feel like decent quality on the plane
    • These headphones have a good noise cancelling for listening to audio, but still being able to hear outside sounds if needed.
    • The noise cancelling works well on its own if you just don't want to hear the things around you as well
    • This female co-worker makes very loud noise to seek attention from me
    • I wouldn't say they're completely nose canceling, it mostly just dulls the noise slightly but it does help me focus in on work
    • Not the best noise cancelling headphones but good cost vs value.
    • You can still hear other noises that are high pitched, but if you're working and in the zone the noises are quite enough to tune out
    • I still haven't compared to any really expensive noise canceling
    • These are good entry level noise cancelling headphones
    • Cheap noise cancellation
    • Cheap feel to them and terrible noise canceling on it
    • Used it for the first time recently on a flight, The noise cancelling feature worked well.
    • I returned that cost $149 MORE than these, due to lack of audible noise cancellation, complete lack of bass and an overall hands-over-mouth-midrange quality experienced in all styles of music I played through them
    • It does exactly what it promises, it cancels out outside noise so you can fall into your music without any distractions
    • I bought these for my wife so she could reduce the annoying background noise, farts and brain drilling mid-range yappers in her office
    • The headphones do become a little bit uncomfortable on your ears if you wear them for an extended period, but that is a small sacrifice considering the price and effective noise cancelling capability.
    • No doubt there are much better noise cancelling headphones out
    • Very effective in reducing noise and also very comfortable
    • Great noise blocking headphones for the price
    • For the price not a bad product but not actually noise cancelling more like volume amplifying.
    • Maybe the noise cancel works better in the car or on an
    • I guess there is no cheap noise cancelling
    • Solid for the money however not the best "noise canceling"
    • I highly recommend this product and I will just add that the noise canceling works perfectly
    • Rating for pure noise cancelling compared to the expensive ones, 3 stars
    • Without the noise canceling on it sounds distorted but the noise canceling function works great
    • I have a pair of cheap noise canceling headphones that work better
    • I'd say pass on these if you're looking for decent noise cancellation
    • The noise cancelling feature works pretty well
    • The sound is good and noise canceling work weel for the price.
    • The noise cancelling does work, however these are lower cost headphones - so dont expect too much
    • Noise canceling works better than expected.-Fair price from a real brand-Foldable-
    • The earpads do not completely encircle the ears, which would provide a better noise cancelling effect.
    • Noise cancelling works great, and the sound is clear
    • The MDRZX110NC 100% won't be the best sound quality, noise-canceling, or even comfort
    • They reduced the steady noise by 80%, and I was able to wacth movies and listen to music
    • Very poor noise cancellation
    • When unpowered the sound is slightly flat sounding, but with power on it boosts the sound as well as cancelling the noise.
    • Pretty good noise reduction.
    • They canceled enough of the very loud tractor / mower noise to allow me to hear the story.
    • Granted, other cheap active noise cancelling headphones I tried also sound about the same when unpowered/powered
    • I did not / do not / will not expected the same noise cancelling technology capability as a pair of $300 Bose, maybe that's the reason why i'm happy with them unlike other reviewers.
    • They do almost nothing to reduce office noise and chatter, which was my main need, and on my recent trip on a jet, it didn't reduce the noise enough to bother with them
    • There is a faint buzzing noise in the background when turned on, but it didn’t seem to bother our son.
    • Returned them and went back to my inexpensive "noise isolating" earbuds that block out external noises much better, as well as has much fuller sound quality.
    • Uncomfortable to wear with inadequate sound quality and noise cancelling capability.
    • Maybe if I lived near loud noises I would use the feature more.
    • Limit the noise during flights.
    • Cancelled out noise pretty good.
    • As a result, I will be looking for a wireless option that offers good durability and superior noise cancelling capabilities, though I won't be getting rid of these, as they really are great quality headphones, as expected with Sony (considering I grew up in a time where Sony was considered right up there, before Bose became a more well-known entity in the market).
    • Canceled out ambient noise pretty well, however the cover for the battery which is the "sony cap" on the right side, comes off very easily
    • And great noise reduction, not dead
    • Worst of all, the noise cancellation feature doesn't cancel noise well at all
    • However, if you need really good noise cancelling, skip this one and buy a more expensive pair.
    • Not as 'noise cancelling' as I would like but still great
    • Poor noise cancellation
    • Great noise cancelling headphones for a good price.
    • This headset cancels noise well enough for me to hear my music over the lawnmower noise.
    • The noise cancellation is great in my opinion and cancels out ambient sounds while a podcast or music is playing, still hear the occasional loud noise once in a while
    • Effective - they must cancel significant noise
    • Cancelled the outside noise just as promised!
    • Didn’t really get a sufficient noise cancellation better than a pair of over ear cans when activated
    • The noise cancellation is so-so at best (better at dealing with low humming noises than anything else, though even then limited), and the sound quality is simply okay -- not terrible, yet somehow not as good as Sony's cheapest on-ear non-noise-cancelling headphones (which sell for much less than these). The biggest problem is that, after less than a month of light to normal use (primarily sitting at a desk and listening to music, occasionally walking around), the casing of the wire detached from the plastic at the point where the two earphone cables meet, leaving the wire underneath exposed
    • Good sound quality, cheap noise cancelling headphones
    • Without the noise cancelling turned on, the headphones are 3.5/5for noise cancelling, but with the noise cancelling these sound almost as good as my turntable(Sanyo GXT 140 H, about middle of the road quality )+A-quality vinyls of the same recording, 4.5/5.They're not going to make conversations next to you go silent, but while playing some Dragonforce on my tablet at ~25% volume, the headphones did an excellent job at cancelling them out
    • The noise cancelling function works surprisingly well for the price of these headphones
    • Granddaughter Love them no noise
    • The noise reduction is no joke, it does a good job of reducing harmful noise
    • Bearing in mind the price, I'd rather just either stick to the non noise cancelling models or fork out more money to get a proper noise cancelling headset.
    • Affordable noise cancellation in a pair of light headphones made the trip across the Atlantic a breeze.
    • They sound great, the noise cancelling works really ell, and they're super cheap
    • The good: Nice sound quality & noise-cancelling ability
    • I really like these - good noise canceling & they are very comfortable to wear.
    • I didn't expect top notch noise cancellation from these
    • If you want a good, cheap, quick fix noise cancelling headphone, I would recommend this product if you want something a bit more and extra I would go for a higher priced for more better quality.
    • I compared the noise cancelling effectiveness to my Coby brand headphones and surprisingly found the Sony to be noticeably worse
    • They aren't 100% nose cancelling, but I kind of like having some noise to be aware of my surroundings
    • Noise cancelling fairly nonexistent unless they are pressed against my head
    • The noise cancelling works well when trying to dampen road noise so my kids don't need to play music and movies as loud
    • I tried to be cheap to save money but could not live with the poor noise cancelling
    • Limited noise cancellingHeadband is uncomfortableBad sound quality when turned off/battery dies
    • More like noise dimming
    • this is a cheap active noise cancelling headphone and does what you pay for
    • Great noise canceling headphones.
    • Reduces lawnmower noise sufficient enough to hear every word on a podcast
    • rather it sits on my ears and provides good quality music, the noise cancelling does work how ever requires a seperate battery that fits nicely into the headphone piece it self.over all
    • The noise cancelling feature worked well on my last vacation
    • These Sonys have the *active* noise canceling , which improves their sound
    • These are great noise cancelling headphones for the money
    • If you're looking for more pure noise cancelling, you HAVE TO top $300 and get name-brand
    • But as the POINT of noise cancelling headphones is to reduce unwanted noise.
    • I can concentrate better even with loud noises.
    • Noise canceling works well, but makes them noisy when there is wind
    • Not cancelling any noise at all, total BS, don't waste your money on that, if you really need noise cancelling spend extra and get a real thing.
    • I didn't expect great noise cancelling, but this one doesn't do anything at all to block or cancel noise.
    • The noise cancellation is more like noise reducing
    • I have given as gifts, affordable noise block, so you can hear what’s really important.
    • I'm kinda regretting my purchase right now just due to the fact that I have to put in batteries to make it isolate noise/make the music tolerable and my ears being sore.
    • For better noise reduction you just have to spend more than this
    • They don't drown out all noise, but they work pretty well when I need to concentrate.
    • The noise cancelling works well
    • As such, they do not seal out external noise, so a lot of outside noise gets in, so they are not effective at passive noise cancellation, either
    • Suggest for moderate-noise environments (like home or office, bus ride, etc.) as these won't keep out wind or loud machine noises
    • These do need a battery for the noise cancelling to work, and also for the sound to be of good quality
    • Very cheap material and noise canceling
    • In well-designed noise-cancelling headphones the high-end is blocked by passive noise blocking (i.e. tight fitting foam earcups) while the low-end is blocked by active noise cancellation circuitry.
    • The cushioning makes them comfortable around the ears & the noise canceling feature works pretty well, doesn't cancel the background sounds completely, but quite a bit of it
    • these are decent noise canceling headphones for the price
    • My old set did a better job canceling noise, but these are more comfortable.
    • Because of this headphone, I no longer have to hear that loud noise
    • Crazy noise leak
    • works pretty well blocking out the noise
    • I work in an office environment and this blocks out the air vent noise and computer fan noise no problem.
    • They might reduce a low humming noise, but have little effect on conversation.
    • Good for the price, but not noise cancelling.
    • While you can probably get better noise cancellation in a more expensive set of headphones, for the price, you can't beat these headphones.
    • Sound is good overall enough noise cancelling to make it worth the purchase
    • so I can still hear someone if they ask me a question, but the "fuzzy" noise of chatter and such is gone
    • Poor high frequency response, poor noise cancelling
    • cheap, cheap, cheap - noise cancelling doesn't really work, as it switches on and off
    • I’m fact, the cheaper in-ear MaxRock earphones have much better noise cancelling properties and are a third of the price of these Sony ones.
    • Not the very best noise cancelling
    • It cancels most of the annoying noises out (phone ringing, chatter, AC, keyboard clicking) but you still hear some of the background noises, so you are 'aware' of your environment
    • Ear cups are small, and for me, to get very good noise cancelling, they have to be positioned on my ears perfectly, so I end up fiddling with them
    • Not bad for the price, but they did minimal in canceling out noise as a whole
    • Inexpensive, comfortable, noise cancelling works
    • It removes less than half of ambient noise despite it's claims of 95% - and that is due to the passive noise isolation from the foam earmuffs
    • I ended up having the full flight with the turbine annoying noise behing the music I was listening to
    • Definitely help to drown out loud plane noise
    • The noise cancellation works well except there are certain louder noises that can still affect sound quality
    • Wonderful noise canceling quality, I've worn on flights and in a noisy/loud pool stadium during swim events
    • Great noise-canceling for staying focused at work
    • I gave these headphones one star for the current Amazon price, and another for the noise-cancelling relief
    • They are "good" at almost everything: Good sound quality, good noise reduction, good cord length, good weight, good construction
    • Very comfortable and blocks noise well.
    • I have owned very good Sony noise cancelling headphones in the past, but these basically just increase the volume to drown out the background noise when you turn the noise cancelling function on
    • Reviews were not above average, not sure why... this product performs well and the noise-cancelling button actually works.
    • Poor noise cancelling butr good sound
    • Cheap, sound decent, drown out the noise in my open office.
    • It's suppose to work with LOW frequency (repetitive) noise such as noise from airplane engines
    • Due to its poor seal, you pretty much still hear 90% of whatever loud noise you want cancelled out by this headphone, render it's noise cancelling functionality pretty much useless.
    • In well-designed noise-cancelling headphones the high-end is blocked by passive noise blocking (i.e. tight fitting foam earcups) while the low-end is blocked by active noise cancellation circuitry.
    • If you’re looking for a pair of Budget headphones that have decent noise canceling ability and won’t break the bank then these are a good choice
    • These are poor noise cancellers
    • Not the best noise
    • I've been looking for a good noise canceling headphones for traveling.

    • Made the music sound good but the outside noise of the drums overshadowed the clean noise coming through the headphones.
    • When opening the windows the constant noise is troubling
    • Decent sounding headphones but definitely NOT noise cancelling
    • Suggest for moderate-noise environments (like home or office, bus ride, etc.) as these won't keep out wind or loud machine noises
    • Superb noise cancelling and comfort on the ear
    • The Sony's do a decent job at cancelling out steady low end noise significantly
    • Any sort of wind, breeze, or even just air moving past while walking quickly or running will result in loud and annoying wind noise that gets picked up by the mic and amplified into the headphones
    • While there is better noise canceling headphones on the market, I do not think there are any that work as well in this price range
    • The noise cancelling works just a little bit to dampen the engine noise, but not as well
    • A few years ago I bought a great Sony noise canceling headset
    • I am very impressed with how well the noise-cancelling worked on the airplane
    • The sound is ok, the noise-canceling does work pretty well
    • Noise cancelling works, not perfect, but it works
    • Great little entry level noise cancelling set
    • Great noise cancelling for the money, great sound quality for the money.
    • This noise canceling headphones works great
    • The noise cancellation feature works well to eliminate constant noises, like fans, humming noises, etc.
    • More like noise dimming
    • Pros:- Noise cancelling for cheap, works great in an open office- comfortable- good construction, and folds
    • The noise cancelling works well.
    • , I paid around 30 bucks for it, I was not expecting too much from it anyway, later I can pay the price for a much better noise cancelling headphone.
    • These headphones are perfect for when you're on the 'quiet' floor of the library, and that one person starts eating a bag of carrots... ugh that's the worst!I also like how they fold up, I'm in college, so I just smoosh them into my backpack
    • Recently, I lost my Sony’s
