However, if you want something that is going to sound as good as the original CD, and still allow you to put 2 or 3 hours of music on inexpensive re-recordable discs, MiniDisc is the way to go.

The half-sized ice cream sandwich form kicks the CD portable players to the curb.

You cannot get any better sound resolution than this; any decent DVD player has an optical out; decent CD players too.
