Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WH1000XM2: Over Ear Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Microphone - Hi Res Audio and Active Sound Cancellation - Foldable On Ear Headphones with Travel Case - Black

    • And low level ambient sounds such as fans, traffic, driving in your automobile, even your shopping cart, completely disappear! The touch-sensitive controls -- no more buttons or dials -- to adjust the phones appear very functional and superb
    • They have futuristic control and features (Cover right ear to hear the outside world
    • Those controls are a bit touchy, that's really my only complaint, and you can accidentally set them off just by adjusting the fit.
    • The finger and hand controls are easy to get used to.
    • The controls on the headset are SSSSSOOOOO sensitive
    • They sound great, the noise cancelling is solid, and the controls are efficient and easy
    • Also super nice controls on these.
    • Then I signed up for tidal hifi to get hi-res sources, then installed the sony app and set dsee off, noise cancelling on, adaptive sound control off, and found some tracks on tidal that were hifi that I used to listen to on Google play with the Samsungs.
    • The tough controls work ok on these, and even though they're not an after though, they work kind of wonky
    • Love the user interface controls on the right side
    • and I prefer the touch controls
    • “Headphones” app, touchpad, Adaptive Sound Control, Ambient Sound Control, Noise Cancelling Optimizer, Sound Position Control, DSEE HX, and some more), great build quality, and you’ve got one of the best headphones ever.
    • Loving the touch pad controls as well!
    • The Sony's volume control is not actually a slider, but you have to swipe up and then hold and wait for the volume to increase/decrease.- Silent controls when playing/pausing/skipping
    • I also enjoyed the hand gesture controls that allowed me to place my cupped hand over my right ear cup to allow active monitoring of conversations in the room without removing my headphones
    • The controls are easy and the headphones paired with the adapter right away on first try
    • Beautiful sound, great construction, flexible controls, great battery life...very satisfied!!
    • Sony’s Headphone Connect app allows for a wide variety of customization, such as Adaptive Sound Control, which automatically adjusts the noise cancelling to your activity.
    • also nice control touch .....thanks.
    • It was simple to pair with my iPhone, and the controls are easy to use
    • I'd rather have physical buttons or at least more intuitive controls.
    • They are just as reliable as the old physical buttons, and the controls are easy to learn and remember: (1) Swipe up/down for volume up/down.
    • But sometimes sacrifices need to be made and in this case of overly sensitive touch controls, this is one of those instances that clean, sparse aesthetics should have taken a back seat to functional parameters
    • I love the controls and sometimes just flick to skip or cup it to hear around me and giggle with how intuitive it is, although yes the responsiveness of tapping to play and pause can be fickle at times
    • Their controls - both button and gesture - are intuitive, easy to use, and functionally arranged well
    • Not a fan of the swiping touch controls--too easy to not swipe just right and do something totally different than you wanted.
    • The neat little touch sensitive controls are awesome and super intuitive, especially the cupping to hear exterior noise
    • The controls are pretty slick, just swiping on the side of the earcup instead of hunting for a button
    • I picked these vs the Bose because I like the integrated controls better
    • I don't find the touch controls useful in the slightest and what makes them particularly aggravating is that YOU CANNOT DISABLE THE TOUCH CONTROLS.
    • Bose does this very well - Touch sensitive controls on right earphone is meh and more of a gimmick
    • battery- EQ is more customizable (variable band graphical EQs instead of just a basic 5 band EQ)- Smoother/quicker volume control that acts like a touch slider (like a volume slider on a mixer)
    • These otherwise fine headphones are completely ruined by these stupid touch controls.
    • And the controls on the headphones themselves work great.
    • Likewise, the controls on the cans are really easy to use (which is great)
    • only criticism, is the touch panel of the Sony, which is sometimes confused when you turn down the volume or change the song, there strange manual control of the bose
    • Love the touch controls but they can be difficult to activate properly
    • Responsive controls and amazon made sure there was no damage to the box
    • The controls are pretty slick, just swiping on the side of the earcup instead of hunting for a button
    • Sound controls on the ear piece work very well
    • Noise canceling works good but fit very loosely on head, you cannot move abruptly when wearing or they fall off, wish they fit tighter, also sound quality is not so great for a large headset like these, wish they were louder, don’t recommend.
    • n’t cover accidental damage
