Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote

    • When I am playing my Xbox and I put maybe my television remote to the side and if it lightly taps the PS3 Blu-ray Remote then BOOM my PS3 will turn on
    • Pros, its the best PS3 Remote currently available.
    • The PS3 is a wonderful piece of equiptment and I like it a lot, but man that sucker kicks out a TON of heat.
    • Hopefully before the PS3 has become obsolete.
    • This is a must have if, like me, you got the PS3 primarily to watch DVD's and Blu-rays
    • It's not a universal, but if you use your PS3 for Blu Ray discs, or even DVD's (if your like me and decide to use the PS3 as your primary player) you can't go wrong.
    • After getting the PS3 and loving it, i bought all the accessories
    • Very good product, i recommend to everybody that don't have a Blu-Ray player, use the PS3 as one, great accesory.
    • Very strong Beam, I got it because am planning to use my PS3 as Blu-Ray player as well
    • I may end up throwing the remote out and selling the PS3 in disgust and boycotting all Sony products as a result
    • Makes the PS3 a more user-friendly movie player.
    • There are no other remote controls on the market as of this date that allow you to control the PS3 fully like this one does.
    • The PS3 now feels like an actual video component than a video game when you have the remote in your hand
    • It should have included backlighting for the buttons especially since it is a Sony remote for their expensive PS3, come on Sony.
    • Highly recommend this remote if you plan on watching Blu-ray or DVD videos using your PS3.
    • I would highly recommend this remote to anyone who has a setup where the PS3 is hidden away like mine and wants to use Bluetooth technology!
    • This remote complements the ps3 as a blu-ray player very well
    • If like me, you use your PS3 primarily for watching Blu-Ray movies then this is a must have.
    • This remote adds all of the functions that we're used to having on a DVD player...and you can hit the view button to display the conspicously missing elapsed time (not shown on the front of the PS3).You do have to program the PS3 to work with your specific remote prior to the first use
    • By the way, I hate the PS3 too.
    • If you plan to use your PS3 much for entertainment either through disc, media, or streaming content this simplifies a lot.
    • Can’t believe my ps3 is still working
    • Luckily the hearty little PS3 was fine.
    • Plus it will turn on and turn off the PS3 just like the controllers
    • This makes the PS3 feel like a high end Blue-Ray player.
    • The remote is fine other than the absolutely frustrating fact that the stupid remote turns the PS3 on if any button is pressed on the remote.
    • I surf the web using this, and even use it to eject my discs out of the PS3 (lazy I know,
    • Bluetooth instead of infrared means your PS3 is not compatible with universal remotes (for now, until universal remotes catch up); no back light on the remote, which is the real disappointment.
    • This allows you to locate the PS3 anywhere in the room and the remote will still work.
    • The remote makes the PS3 work more like a DVD player instead of a game system.
    • After much debate about whether to get a IR remote like the one made by Nyko, I settled on the Sony BT remote, and after a month of usage I can easily say I am very happy I went for BT over IR.Its a life saver, especially if your PS3 is not in your line of sight, like its for me when I am in bed watching movies on PS3
    • I use my ps3 for mostly blu rays and this remote works great.
    • If you're like me and have the ps3 in your room and like to leave remotes on your bed in the middle of the night you maybe woken up by the sound of the PS3 turning on
    • It is strange that the brilliant PS3 doesn't have a more functional and well designed remote.
    • Yes you can use the ps3 controller but its lame to use that
    • Third problem is less the remote's fault than the PS3's fault: there is no power button -- you have to hit a sequence of two buttons with three taps to accomplish what should be the simple task of shutting the darn machine off for the night
    • I love my PS3.
    • I planned on getting a Blu-Ray Player, but the PS3 seemed to suffice
    • It is powered by two AA batteries and uses bluetooth technology to link up with your console, so pointing at the screen or your PS3 is unnecessary (although I do it out of force of habit)
    • It would be nice also if the PS3 could handle a normal universal remote instead of a BT version since some of us like to have one central remote for it all.
    • your ps3 could be inside the cabinet with a closed door and your remote will still work, or you can be in another room cleaning and usingyour ps3 to play music
    • It makes the PS3 feel like a real Blu-ray player, not a game console that plays Blu-ray
    • After a few movies you know where the buttons are, thankfully we have some colored buttons, they are not too obvious to see at night, but you can make out ok this is red, so push the button above it to see the subtitles or below it to see how far into the movie you are (speaking of which, why cant we see how much time is remaining?)Now to the positives (which I think outshine most of the negatives, but not the fact that the stupid ps3 turns on whenever a button is pressed anywhere (put this thing in its own box and keep it shut!).It looks very good.
    • I have been looking for a good ps3 remote for a while
