• Reviews around plastic (2.22 of 5)

Sony Premium Noise Cancelling, Bluetooth Headphone, Black (MDR1000X/B)

    • Compared to the cheap plastic feeling of both of the Bose products in the same price range, these were more in line with what you'd expect from $400
    • You can see in the attached photo that the beige inner plastic has a huge crack and there are also small hairline cracks forming on the outside, metallic plastic part
    • but still the plastic broke right at the hinge.*Horrible Sony customer supportSeeing that my headphones are covered by the
    • They feel solid with nice heavy plastic and are comfortable for long listening sessions
    • The plastic cracked with little use like a cheap headphone.
    • I'm sure this is perfectly secure and fine, but by comparison that same part on the Sony, where the same wiring must have been running to go to the cans, is solid plastic with nothing exposed
    • my experience, Much better NC than the QC35.-Well designed, not looking or feeling cheap plastic nor flimsy.-The set-up is easy
    • it is really a pity, the project is really good, but unfortunately it has been manifactured with cheap plastics that crack after only 6 months, the worst is that even with 2 yy warranty the repair will cost you more than the value
    • -Charge lasts many hoursCons:-Horrible construction-Plastic will break without reason-Noise isolation causes tinnitus.-Charging takes a LONG time-Sound quality is mediocre at best-Bass is almost nonexistentDear Sony,I am willing to change this review if you are willing to compensate me for this faulty product.
    • The cheap plastic band near the hinge is completely cracked on both sides, and offers no structural support at all causing the headset to sit askew on my head making it uncomfortable and unbalance
    • However the plastic feels strong and sturdy, in fact, the whole headphone feels like it is of good quality
    • Love the understated, elegant look, no shiny silver plastic.
    • The plastic is crumbling and obviously just cheaply made
    • I wish it had dedicated buttons for volume up/down (I don't like swiping as sometimes I have accidentally cut the call)
    • went to best buy before Black Friday to try out the 1000x and QC35 from BOSE.1000x has higher clamp force - but not as that uncomfortable as others describe
    • I found that -- PXC550 had an evenly beautiful sound but somewhat veiled/warm, the mighty bass drum blow in "Dies ire" did not shock as on the 1000X, and the harp arpeggio in the beginning of Nutcracker Waltz was hazy on the PXC550, but delicately clear on the 1000X.
    • Everything works exactly as it claims to
    • Sony has a pocket inside for the airplane adapter, then a mesh pocket on the outside for a cord (which I don't like as it tends to snag when you're stuffing the thing inside a bag - would have rather just had the pocket on the inside)
    • I'm coming from the MDR-1A, which had a phenomenal soundstage that you could hear and feel distances with, but they started creaking as you moved your head
    • As for me, I would never be ignorant or inconsiderate as to communicate with someone in such a manner, and I would expect the same consideration in return.
    • Yeah, I don`t know if its fake advertising, if the product I got wasn`t good enough, or if my hearing is just too good, because the noise canceling was NOWHERE near the ~sound coccon~ that many talk about
    • n’t work very well, that it’s not responsive and it’s not doing what you want, but you really have to read the directions here.
    • The bad I am not able to hear my young son if he wakes up with a bad dream
    • The good I only hear what I am listening too
    • But still works as I except.
