    • The sound is excellent.
    • The sound is great, it feels premium as
    • After 20 months of moderate use, the headband simply snapped all the way through, without even a sound indicating it broke
    • These sound pretty good, but ONLY with noise cancellation turned on, which can only be done while using bluetooth
    • Sound is better than my Bose QC15 and the noise cancelling is almost perfect
    • I chose the MDR 1000X because I needed headphones that provide solid sounds, comfort, and good noise cancellation for studying in open environments, such as library, cafe, etc
    • the best sound. period.
    • These also have more bass than the Bose, and I enjoy their sound more for general music listening
    • Their many features are icing on the cake for solid sound, battery life, and quality craftsmanship.
    • I'm going to start this review by saying that I love my MDR-1000x headphones, and I find them to have great sound and comfort
    • Noise cancellation is good, the feature that allows you to cover the right side with your hand and hear everything not just lowers the music volume but also boosts ambient and voice sound
    • Sound is excellent for BT, ability to turn off NC is a plus.- Maximo Caggiano
    • The sound was very good and the noise cancelling worked very well, the only problem was they have a ton of noise bleed so everyone around you can hear your music if you have it on anything above 30-40% volume
    • The sound was very good and the noise cancelling worked very well, the only problem was they have a ton of noise bleed so everyone around you can hear your music if you have it on anything above 30-40% volume
    • The 1000x, however, is significantly warmer sounding without changing the music too much
    • Excellent sound and noise cancellation, great features, reasonably good comfort, but atrocious build quality
    • Great neutral sound, it will please anybody but bassheads.
    • I've tried so many pairs and this is the best sounding and absolute best noise canceling headphones I've ever tried
    • The sound is much more "fun" and more focused on the highs and lows, much like a v-shaped sound signature on the Sony's than the Sennheiser's
    • They also include a calibration system that checks the shape of your head and the level of seal that the earcups make in order to provide the best sound
    • Amazing quality, love the noise cancelling features, and the sound!!!
    • The sound on these is clear, can get very loud and combined with the amazing noise canceling you really are in your own zone with these on
    • Great audio sound and slick design, but completely useless for phone calls(!
    • They were comfortable but kept losing connection, didn't sync well with the TV voice, and had a rather bland sound
    • I love the noise cancelling feature where you can tune out the whole outside world with the tap of the right side; I usually never like the sound of noise canceling headphones, but this one is so
    • so I feel like I have a decent understanding of what good sound is like
    • " You're right, but I've listened to a lot of Bose equipment over the years and their products have always have had a very unnatural sound to me.
    • : You won't hear the hissing sound if you are playing any audio with audible volume, but if you are, like me, thinking of sleeping with the headphone on (and obviously with NC turned on), just don't expect complete silence.
    • Noise cancellation does not seem to degrade sound much.4
    • Amazing sound... just wish they were louder!
    • Sound is fantastic for Bluetooth, but is not as good when plugged in
    • Amazing sound and excellent noise cancelling .
    • The Sonys are by no means audiophile grade, but they sound like good $150 wired headphones, whereas the Bose sound like a sub-$100 pair of regular headphones to me
    • For me, not just for flights or loud environments, but helps the music sounds better, and you can play at lower volume and get very good sound.
    • Great sound all the way through the spectrum
    • so I can say with confidence that these are very good sounding
    • There pretty amazing headphones, sound is pretty good with Bluetooth compared to past brands I had in (bose, beats etc
    • It is a decent sound experience for a casual user
    • Voice ambient setting only picks up any vocal sounds and nature sound setting allow everything in but doesn't distort the sound quality
    • Good sound, BT is acceptable.
    • Sound is really good, but honestly sony's do sound better in every aspect
    • Great sound
    • The Sennheiser set also seemed to do a better job at isolating my voice from other noise around me - if I dropped a pen on my desk or rolled my office chair around, the Sennheiser would just "ignore" those sounds, even while picking up my voice at the same time
    • good sound but uncomfortable ear cups and headband
    • Great sound, comfortable fit and easy to use.
    • These headphones are really good, I enjoyed them very much, good looking as well, the sound is clear, punchy and alive, the soundstage isn't that great as they are On-
    • Senheiser PXC 550 had the most impressive sound of all
    • As you've probably known from the price, this is an ultra premium headphone, so you expect an exceptional sound quality
    • The wireless sound is great, but when actually wired in they are the best sounding headphones I've ever had.
    • The sound of the P7 is outstanding but it has does not have noise cancelling which is in today's electronic era, is a necessity.
    • it felt like the sound was damped
    • The Bose have a more crisp sound, but the bass and overall sound feel better on Sony
    • You can also use the headphones to enhance ambient sound, with an aptly labeled button.
    • I’m hoping that once these burn-in that the sound will smooth out.
    • Okay sound, good at most things, master of
    • The sounds are very warm, the bass is deep and not too sharp, high hats don't hurt my ears (a huge problem I had with Dre Beats), and the noise cancelling
    • Sound is Excelent and the noise cancelling is awesome...
    • I love the sound of these hs eadphones and the quality over bluetooth is quite good.
    • If you need to hear important sounds or voices, you can set it to allow ambient sounds or voices in while cancelling everything else
    • These still deliver some nice sound, however
    • The real magic of these headphones comes with its ambient sound awareness capabilities, which work as advertised
    • The only real downside is that they don't filter out sharp sounds very well
    • However, I noticed a hissing sound occasionally on some songs and in certain conditions
    • Using them corded powered on with NC produces the best sound.
    • The sound has improved with time - much warmer than the first few weeks
    • Even though the sound stage does not sound as wide as my semi open headphone (and it should be that case, as semi open can will give a wider feel to it) it gives adequate space, and it doesn’t sound “airy”The audio quality of MDR 1000x is fantastic and natural sounding, the amplification of the 3 different section is equal, none of them took the centre stage, and they sound equal, balanced with a flatter frequencies response albeit it is titled towards the direction of less warmth
    • To be fair, I should say that the first two problems are due to the BT technology itself not the sony, other wireless headphone also have these problems or maybe even worse (both wire and wireless mode have bad sound)
    • I can visualize the hollow acoustic guitar whose strings gently vibrate with astonishing clarity, or the gentle impact of the hammers within the playful flourishing sound of piano that dances enthusiastically in the ear
    • Amazing sound and noise cancellation, and interesting functions.
    • They're light, they seem to effortlessly omit all ambient sound, the battery life is great (20+ hours), the sound quality is *superb*, and the touch controls and "cup right ear to listen to world around you" feature just work.
    • The ambient sound "voice" capability filters out all sounds except voice -- or basically anything that is "novel" to the sound cancellation algorithm
    • It doesn't sound terrible, but some sounds give off a little static
    • I still heard a car beep, but sounds that are abrupt like a beep are normal to still sound through; it was greatly muffled at least
    • Noise cancelling is not as good as QC35 but you can clearly hear a hiss sound
    • The sound is great, the phone calls received are good, the noise cancelling are great
    • if this is your first headphone you may think that it has very decent sound, but when you compare you will start to see difference
    • Every key stroke on a piano sounds crisp, guitars sounds are superb, drums and every other musical instrument deliver the nice sound that is rich, and fills your head with sharp vocals, beats and sounds
    • Amazing quality and sound
    • First and foremost, the sound is simply fantastic.
    • Not as loud as I would expect from a 420 dollar pair of headphones, but they have good sound.
    • The features on these headphones are absolutely stellar and if you are a techie that wants decent sound but needs to have all of the cool gadgetry then these will not disappoint
    • These headphones have insanely clear sound and the noise cancelling is second to none

    • Great sound for the money, no chords
    • My husband has a pair of these and I love the sound from

    • I prefer the sound of these wireless which surprises me
    • But to me - by direct comparison, I give the nod to Sony for fuller richer sound -- all things being equal.
    • Since this is ultimately a device with which to listen to music, the Sony is a better choice seeing as the Noise Cancellation is on par with the Bose but the 'sound' of music is significantly much better
    • I asked each of my teammates there fav song, to which I set up on Spotify, this ranged from Big Pun, Skrillex Purple Lamborghini, to Disturbed Sound of Silence, to 80s music
    • I do know if you aren't a fan of the Bose NC pressure feeling and hate the Bose sound then these are probably your best option.bottom line
    • As noted if you've never dropped a couple hundred on good headphones, or many hundreds/thousands on a proper sound system then you will be in for a big surprise.
    • Amazing sound
    • They are not bright (loud treble) and more accurate, along with tight bass; however you can't crank up the volume to extreme, so if you're looking for head banging bright sound - look elsewhere.
    • the Bose was more comfortable and had a great noise cancelation, however the design was uglier and the sound wasn't crisp and nice
    • Noise cancelling is great and the sound is awesome, but less than 1 year later, the headband has broken

    • Sound is very crisp
    • Very good sound w/ great features, but struggled keeping it on head for too long.
    • Great sound, great features, superior to Bose in both respects
    • I found that -- PXC550 had an evenly beautiful sound but somewhat veiled/warm, the mighty bass drum blow in "Dies ire" did not shock as on the 1000X, and the harp arpeggio in the beginning of Nutcracker Waltz was hazy on the PXC550, but delicately clear on the 1000X.
    • You touch it in the center and then drag your finger up or down to increase or lower the sound, or drag your finger forward or back to skip tracks.
    • My first assessment of the QC35 headset was... good sound for music (way better than the QC15), comfortable around the ear, good battery life
    • The sound is excellent and the battery lasts a long time.
    • This headset was comfortable, sounded great, but had some issues with syncing with the TV
    • I think it improves the sound on those, but you must use the provided audio cable and therefore lose Bluetooth functionality.

    • Higher score simply means the audio production is not natural and balanced, but people can still like the sound, like what I have reviewed in Bluedio Victory
    • Solid sound.
    • I'll start off by saying I own a lot of headphones including the Sennheiser HD 6XX, the M50x, and several sub-$100 headphones, so I know what "good" and "bad" sound like
    • Overall, I would say the sound and comfort are great but the fact that these problems made it past beta testing while the premium price tag didn't, means I have to give this a 3-star (realistically 3.5, but I can't)
    • Sony's sounds fantastic, but by necessity the Bose [try] to tell you specifically which device has been connected/disconnected
    • Overall, these headphones are comfortable, have clear and strong sound, and do exactly what they are supposed to do - getting rid of that constant, mind-numbing noise that is our lives when we board a commercial airline.
    • Wireless, over the ear, foldable, comfortable for extended periods of time, great sound, noise cancelling that can be turned off and
    • Not so good at blocking voices.------Ordered this product twice, both times the headphones made a constant static sound when noise cancelling was on.-----7.5/10-Sound

    • Long battery life, great touch controls, fantastic sound, and with Android O beta LDAC is natively supported on my Pixel
    • Astounding sound reproduction!Excellent sound, style, comfort, features
    • So I won’t be able to talk about how rich or deep the sound is, using music terminology
    • C'mon Sony, if you're going to make something with superior sound, back it up with the correct design to accommodate normal use!
    • The sound is very impressive
    • You will still be able to hear sharp sounds like loud noises or irregular voice patterns, but they will be severely muffled
    • My priorities for headphones in this class are: excellent sound, great noise cancellation, long battery life and a good microphone
    • In addition to its remarkable sound and simple operation, the 1000X offers some versatile listening options at the press of one of the buttons on the left cup
    • Great sound, good enough noise canceling.
    • Needless to say the noise canceling is the best on the market, and the sound is as good if not better than the Bose 35
    • All other features are working, and are useful, ambient sound "on" is like not wearing the phones, ambient sound voice only "on" is allowing just the voices to be heard 100% clearly + some noise, and you get all the useful controls touch only
    • I believe sound quality is also subjective and will be up to the individual to determine what sound presents they prefer.

    • I have been trying to decide what ear phones to buy, really never being in love with Bose (actually taking back the first gen wireless Soundlinks because the sound just wasn't all that impressive
    • In general, I tend to favor Sony's typical headphone sound profile, which strikes me as flat down to fairly low bass frequencies, so I suppose I have a bias since I bought my first pair of decent cans (MDR-V6s) in college many years ago.
    • B&O attempted the same capacitive touch technology on the H7 and failed miserably
