Admittedly, I don't make CDs constantly like some but one year later, it continues to work great!

So - I ran across the Sony and $230 was a pretty good lure - it does make a nice CD but has a couple distractable quirks 1

If you like making CD's,there is no better product

My past experience has been many don't work because unless the blank CDs are PERFECT ( any small manufacturing defect can cause them NOT to work) and the slightest dust/vibration can result in failure

This unit was easy to learn at first, though it took a while to get the hang of doing CD-to-tape and back-to-CD recording, with all the tweaking of levels that were involved.

I have noticed that if one does not have the proper type input signal set on the machine (digital or analog) or the proper CD-R in the machine, the recorder will not recognize the input signal.
