We have had many Sony boom box's for portable music over the years (as they seem to have the best bass).

Sony is blaming everything else on its malfunctioning piece of crap receiver but itself, which has become the de facto standard for this company.

so I took a chance on a not very expensive Sony receiver so we could have some music for our 30th Anniversary.

The sound is more crisp or defined and not quite as smooth as the old Sony.

your basic stereo not surround sound, plenty of power and great Sony quality made

I would recommend this Sony to anyone.

This Sony lacks some of the features of the Yamaha and Outlaw models mentioned above, but nothing else I know of near this price range delivers the sound quality I demand as adequately as does the Sony.

Went out to the Sony support page for the product where I was met with a bunch of BS from "tech support" - remove batteries from the remote, remove the speakers from the receiver, don't plug the receiver into anything but the wall socket directly

....this Sony definitely accomplishes that, especially with this low price.

I got this when my beloved vintage Sony STR 6065 gave out due to a lightening strike.

I bought this thinking that Sony wouldn't be this cheap, but I was wrong, there is a reason for the low price
