Great unit for the price.

It pulls in all the stations I listen to at least as well as the unit it replaced (a 20+ year old Pioneer).I was skeptical about having a remote, but I have used it several times & it is convenient.

Based on the date spread of the reviews concerning this problem it appears to me that Sony has chosen not to fix the problem at its source and instead is letting the purchasing public perform its quality control responsibility and sort the defective units for return and repair

DO NOT BUY!. The unit lasted a grand total of 2 days and then refused to power up.

Keep in mind, this unit only accepts analog inputs, perfect if you are rolling your own with various source/DAC/Phono combos.

The STRDH130 Sony is a very good unit

Very good unit, easy to operate and powerful enough to be able to handle two sets of speakers around a pool

The only problem was the units today are doing away with the turntable input as I like to play LP's

When you love of music is met with a GREAT inexpensive yet very capable unit

This unit has been criticized by a number of reviews here at Amazon as having a failure to turn on after some time in the off (standby) state - having looked inside I would have to say that this and other problems are probably heat related - the receiver is well designed electronically, but the heat dissipation of the various "hot spot" devices creates micro-climates that could cause the several super-capacitors that back-up the memory to overheat and not hold the needed charge for memory retention - I would recommend that this unit be positioned so as to get the most airflow of all the stereo components you have associated with it - the transformer is not very efficient (you can feed the heat with your hand under the bottom on the left side) and the driver module is too hot to touch - it needs a heat sink.6

This is a nice little unit and well worth the money

Being an inexpensive unit that I bought to use in my garage, it meets my expectations and when I adjusted the treble slightly down and bass slightly up, it sounds fine.

I needed or wanted a nicer radio and unit that can play CD's for my shop out back, this one has a remote which is very nice, It is easy to set stations, and has plenty of volume for the great oldies that occasionally come on

I just purchased & received the Sony STRDH130 stereo receiver today from Amazon.com and unlike my prior 14 year old Sony AV stereo receiver, this newer unit is easier to connect to new fangled electronic devices such as flat screen LED/LCD TV sets compared to my older 14 year old Sony AV receiver

If you just need a basic high-powered 2-channel stereo receiver that sounds great and don't really want to spend a lot of money on it and still get a well-known name-brand unit, this Sony STRDH130 stereo receiver should do the job just fine

It was priced right and no need for a more expensive unit
