    Sony STRDH550 5.2 Channel 4K AV Receiver

    • The sound quality is excellent and provides enough power for my needs
    • Still, that's more than enough power to damage your hearing with all but the most inefficient speakers.
    • Getting the audio return channel to work properly required moving the power to an always on plug on the Tripp Lite energy saver surge protector with the TV as the master
    • Like the power it gives out
    • good product great price good power, love it
    • This unit produces more than enough power with crisp highs and strong mids
    • Excellent power.
    • Good power.
    • Love the extra power it provides that my previous receiver just didn't have
    • Also I never use over 25% of the audio power available
    • I am absolutely blown away by the massive distortion-free power and high quality sound this unit drives into my speakers.
    • I was totally surprised, good power, easy to set up, sounds amazing with my small Polk audio speakers
    • It delivers good power with pretty clean sound
    • Power is adequate.
    • The automatic switching to the surround sound when powering on the TV is really nice
    • Fine for the price, but not of great power, and I believe the most critical complaint most would have is the lack of a detailed manual to understand the features, which otherwise you need to find online
    • This was the first receiver i bought and i like that it has enough power on each channel to use fairly good size speakers and also has 5.2 support
    • Great sound and power.
    • Excellent sound, good amplifier, with a solid, clean sounding power supply, running two Fisher 12 inch towers, really sounds nice
    • You can set this to automatically detect and switch to inputs as they're powered on, but I like to manually set my input, which is a breeze thanks to its intuitive remote
    • Rocks my crewin vega speakers but twice in 3 months of use it needs to b unplugged to reset for some reason all in all great power easy to use
    • Good power output, you can really pump out volume
    • So I would guess 60ish watts of usable power.
    • 60x2 is more than adequate to cover the areas I need with clean power but without people having to scream at one another over the music.
    • Plenty enough power for most speakers, especially in stereo mode.
    • but I noticed that the weight on this was pretty light suggesting a less than robust power supply.
    • First the Pros:- Cheap, at $138.00 (on Black Friday sale), no other 5.2 channel amplifier is priced this low.- Good power, the Sony outputs enough power to make my home theatre system sound impressively loud- 2 sub woofer outputs; My system needs 2 subs to even out the bass and this works well
