Top quality for the price

The sound quality is excellent and provides enough power for my needs

Although large, the quality and sound are great!

I like the overall quality of the receiver especially for the price, but I do wish Sony had done a couple of things better

Poorest quality, keeps shutting down while watching (Cable, TV, Internet, DVD, Stereo), turn on by itself when not used and off.

Satisfied up to a point with good sound quality, but lacking in 4K connectivity options

So all in all its a great unit and has very good quality sound in my openion (remember I'm an old analog sound guy)

The audio quality is excellent, however the DH-550 does not fully interface well with all external devices

Even though i ended up getting nicer speakers compared to the price of this unit, i plan on keeping it for a while since it seems like good quality and i think it sounds pretty good.

My Vizio TV and the receiver has HDMI auto return (ARC) so when I select TV on my Vizio TV the digital sound is supplied to the receiver through the HDMI cable connecting the TV and receiver, which is of better quality than an analog connection

I could hardly see anything & the sound quality is amazing!!

Sony even realized that having the display on produces slight electrical interference, degrading sound quality, so you can shut that off!!!

Great quality sound for my home theatre to replace an old receiver.

But sound quality is better than my old Sony 5.1 dolby system- dialog is easier to hear with surround sound crisper on the same speaker set.
