The easy setup worked well in that it detects and sets the levels of the speakers and the volume sounded acceptable during the 'easy setup' - but once a blu-ray was played the volume is at a low-med level or the receiver shuts off when trying to turn it up.

Setup was a breeze after hooking up all my speakers (Polk Audio) and other equipment (PS3, Comcast cable box, Samsung Blu-Ray)

Reasonable price, easy setup, just remember it's designed for Hdmi is and outs

I ran the receiver a bit without running 'Easy Setup' and the sound was perfectly fine without it, however, after running the 'Easy Setup', my ears had to adjust to the new equalization (I can only assume this is what it is)

The attenuation performed with the receiver's built in 'Easy Setup' did some fine tuning which I'm sure the receiver is capable of manually, but right out of the box, this receiver had less 'oomph' compared to my 20 year old Sony

haven't really tested yet-UPDATE:Setup was fairly easy since I had older version of similar Sony-However, new remote is inferior to previous with fewer options & cheap construction-Can not configure anything with remote-requires onscreen access menu which needs dedicated HDMI cable from Sony to your TV-Even then, menu is bare-bones & can not get tv to recognize digital coax output from cablebox or optical outout from PS3-(No problem with older Sony)All in all, does the job-if the price is right ($140! online@Amazon)
