    Sony UBP-X800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player

    • Both had awesome sound and video.
    • My current Bluray player produces a great picture and sound running through the receiver with ease of operation..
    • Great picture and sound
    • This does not do well with ripped MKVs with an Atmos track but it works quite well from duplicated disk (just click on the largest file in "STREAM").Atmos is, in my opinion, the cleanest sound available
    • Sound is great
    • The sounds are equally good delivering the latest sound spectrum such as Atmos from the newest Hifi system's
    • Outstanding picture and sound.
    • Great player, excellent picture and sound
    • The picture is very nice, and the sound is clear.
    • The sound was wonderful from both players with Atmos
    • The sound is amazing too
    • And now I will NEVER use it, because the return window and customer service support is "closed" and the player will no longer recognize most commercially purchased blu rays at all ("this disc cannot be played") and the few blu rays it does recognize cause the screen to flash snow and a static sound, rendering it useless.
    • awesome picture and sound
    • Sound and picture have been great in each case
    • (Coincidentally, they started showing up on the shelves of the Best Buy stores here in Houston about three days before mine was delivered to me...on the bright side, I saved a few bucks by not having to pay Texas sales tax...and delivery was free.)Unfortunately, the player does not come with the cables necessary to get the best picture and sound, so if you order it for delivery, you will need to have the high quality cables on hand when it arrives
    • Awesome images, good sound.
    • Excellent picture and sound, lots of apps and easy to use
    • It does have good video and sound, but has a fatal flaw
    • In fact, I am going to have to ramp up my audio system connected to this player, because it has the capacity to really generate awesome sounds
    • You get great sound -- but as far as I can tell, it is no better than what is available from Bluray, and Amazon or Netflix streaming remains Dolby-digital 5.1.You must have "short" cable runs
    • Although admittedly I may not have all the settings right just yet, the sound is way better than the Samsung.
    • Being a long time and loyal Sony customer, this chain of event(s) which includes Sony Bravia OLED interaction did not go over too well.
