I think they also sound better (clarity, dynamics, bass) than the XM2 and QC35.

The sound is rich, the bass is great and they are comfortable.

The bass bleeds too much into the mid-range IMHO and the stage is rather narrow - which is surprising because with all the DSP going inside one would think that it's trivial to EQ them to the user's preferences - and one would be wrong because there is no EQ function at all in the companion phone app

Go into the equalizer in the app and turn down the "clear bass" by 2 to 5 units, depending on your taste and your normal listening level

Sony has a slight edge in digitally enhanced bass, albeit by the smallest of margins.

When I received them, they initially worked, with unbelievable noise cancelling, good enough sound quality (bass was slightly muddy and highs were not as crisp as my last headphones, which were the cheaper Sony h.ear on 2's which after several years are developing issues

Beautiful call & facetime quality, comfortable, great range, customizable EQ, extremely bass capable (depends on EQ settings), microphones cut out anything other than my voice

I’m not going to say that these sound nearly as good as most of my wired headphones, but for everyday-on-the-go-beat-them-up-with-ANC these are exciting.

One other great feature is being able to leave my phone to walk away and the sound is just as beautiful as if I were near it or it with me
