Sony WH1000XM3 Wireless Industry Leading Noise Canceling Over Ear Headphones, Black (WH-1000XM3/B)

    • I chose these headphones after having an “on ear” pair that hurt my ears after wearing them for several hours
    • I really love the feature it has where you can temporarily allow outside sound by just placing your hand over the right ear
    • You can also adjust volume, advance and reverse tracks, and pause/play via tapping or swiping on the outside of the right ear cup (seems like this is not a new feature from the previous version, but new for me)
    • That's because the entire side of the right ear-piece is a touch pad
    • When the QC35 II's noise-cancel big-time noise they make my ears feel weird
    • The headphones themselves are also very comfortable and do not hurt your ears
    • To hear announcements or the flight attendant, put your palm over your right ear
    • Classy design soft, very comfortable contact points, feels well made not chincy cheapcovers over ear wellcontrols work well including touch (heard
    • But the touch controls on the right ear are terrible
    • Sony sent a replacement pair, but now the right ear cup does the same thing
    • I brought mines In December and the right ear cup is starting to detach
    • Too many options out there push my ears flat to my head thereby causing ear pain and headache
    • I'm not sure if they will start to hurt my ears if I wear them for longer
    • Only the most sensitive ears could desire something better.
    • The loose ear cups worry me
    • But the noise cancellation consistently bothered my right ear
    • Your ears will get really hot over the course of watching a movie
    • But it hurts my ears after wearing for a while
    • Pros:+I really like the design, feels very understated and clean.+Sound quality is awesome, bass is clear, my ears are happy.+No power needed to listen to music when using cord (sounds dumb, but my old Cowins always needed power).+Cover ears nicely, reduce sound well without the ANC, which works pretty well itself
    • They're light, comfortable, low profile, and my ears don't get hot
    • Bose hurts my ears after 5 hours of clamping
    • As with all over ear headphones, my ears do get hot after a while, but if you have ever used over ear headphones, you will know this is just something that is going to happen
    • You get the inside the ear itch coupled with the head squeeze, but compared to the noise, the annoyance was worth it
    • They are closed-back, so the ears do get a bit warm, however
    • Ambient sound and noise cancelling features work just the way I had hoped, as do the touch controls on the right ear cup
    • If Sony had been able to figure out a way to actively cool the ears or at least give them a bit more breathing room, then these headphones would have been nearly perfect
    • Ultimately I decided that having intermittent ear discomfort is more distracting than trying to ignore the noise from my A/C unit.
    • When wearing it long time it actually hurt my ears
    • Turns out this tiny, thin piece of plastic was the key thing holding the right ear cup on to the band
    • To top off the noise cancelation, the headphones are beyond comfortable and have an extremely unique touch interface on the right ear
    • I just turned adaptive OFF because I don’t need it.- The volume/playback controls are a touch pad on the right ear cup which takes some getting used to (I do
    • Bad InterfaceThe headphones tried to do a futuristic, no-button, tap/swipe interface on the right ear cup
    • While ANC is active I hear a sound like wind flowing across my right ear
    • Play/Pause on the right ear cup is stretchy and requires multiple attempts
    • The only reason I gave 4 stars and ultimately returned them, is because they made my ears hot/sweaty and they are a little heavy for me
    • Sony hurts my ears after an hour
    • The right ear hand cup to be able to hear is great
    • Another problem is a windy noise in the right ear cup
    • The controls for switching tracks, adjusting volume on the right ear are great.
    • The volume of the headphones can be turned up or down with a finger slide on the exterior of the right ear-can
    • The right ear of the headphones randomly stops working
    • I also love the feature where you can momentarily turn off the noise cancelling when you place your right hand on the right ear
    • I feel like my ears are in a hot coffin made of foam, and the band digs in your head
    • don’t offend my ears
    • After only about 3 months of light use, the band above the right ear cracked and a small plastic piece fell off the headphones
    • The right ear cup is a hidden touch pad
    • I have partial hearing loss in my left ear already so that may or may not be part of the problem.
    • but my ears get a lot warmer than they did in the QC25's
    • The right ear-cup has the USB-C port
    • The one area I notice is better is when you cup your hand over the right ear to allow the external microphones to let in noise going on around you, its not as loud and hissy as it was on the M2
    • The touch controls on the right ear piece are interesting
    • No hot, red and sweaty ears, no hurting head due to too much clamping pressure
    • I’m no pretentious audiophile but my ears are picky and sensitive to harsh and tinny frequencies and these
    • My right ear is hitting the inside (your mileage may vary)
    • The headphones hurt top of my head and ears in the beginning.
    • Had some inner ear discomfort after using the product for an hour or so
    • In terms of sound quality and sound effect, it is better, clear sound effect, strong bass, comfortable ear stick, wireless earphone is really much more convenient, there is no problem,
    • (Touch the right ear
    • off!).It even can connect to your phone's voice assistant (Android or Iphone) with a touch and hold for three seconds on the right ear cup, to have "Siri" or "Google
    • The ear gets quite hot after 1hr of use continuously and it hurts physically.
    • I had to return my first pair, after a bout a month of use the right ear developed an extremely distracting and very noticeable static when noise cancelling was active
    • Also ear gets hot after using for a while and the ear touches the cover causing irritation for long use
    • The Bose headphones tend to do the opposite, where my ears get a little sore after long use
    • and I generally prefer ear
    • When I opened the box, I turned them on and listened to the very noticeable static noise from the right ear cup only
    • TLDR, static in the left ear across three different units, twice replaced - unacceptable at this price point
    • My favorite is this: when noise canceling is on but someone comes up to ask me a question, I can place my right hand over my right ear and it will turn on ambient noise
    • So I usually just play music and try not to grab the right ear piece
    • I actually find them to be extremely comfortable and they don’t hug my ears too much
    • We found them to provide a better experience of music and voice quality while being exposed to the running aircraft noise as well as ears feeling more soothed an hour after the experience.
    • Crinkly/ static noise in right ear cup 4 Months into pretty light use of the headphones.
    • The unit when set up, did work; however, the right ear sound, cut in and out
    • The Bose are lighter and leave my ears cooler
    • The feature where you just put your hand over the right ear to hear everything in the room is incredible
    • But the noise cancellation consistently bothered my right ear
    • Around your ears will sweat, but my ears themselves have been all right so far
    • If you have faith in the construction of these loose ear cups or are a moderate user, go for it
    • and it hurts my ears.
    • You can disable the noise cancellation (well, pause it) along with turning down the audio, with a single touch to the right ear, perfect for announcements or to pay attention to your environment momentarily.
    • lots of whistles and bells set from the appneat feature to temporarily disable noise cancelling to hear environment or speak w/ someonelots of automation: adjustable ear pressure, enhances, comfort, isolation, audio quality too many to list allCONS:- not cheap (depends on what you're used to spending)- inner ears might sweat depends on individual and how long you wear them
    • The swipe controls on the right ear up are dope
    • The Sony's crush my ears and can be painful for prolonged period of time, or cause my ears to sweat
    • the sound is create and levels of bass, treble, vocal can all be configured using the app.- it fits perfectly over the ears and very comfortable to wear.- battery really charges to over 70% in under 15mins and lasts longer than you'll ever
    • I have all the top true wireless ear buds Sennheiser, Bose, Master & Dynamics their ok for certain
    • The touch-switch thing on the right ear is confusing - and I can never remember what tapping or swiping does.
    • I also have sensitive ears and most noise canceling headphones put too much pressure on my eardrums and I get a little nauseous
    • The ear gets quite hot after 1hr of use continuously and it hurts physically.
    • The headphones are light (without feeling cheap) and they don't push against your head to the point of sore ears.
    • My ears do not get hot or sweat at all when I wear these indoors.
    • It's not overly uncomfortable, but can make your ears feel warm with extended listening and there is scratching sound when shifting the headphones around.
    • I like them and they work good with phone calls as well A+
    • I’m not going to say that these sound nearly as good as most of my wired headphones, but for everyday-on-the-go-beat-them-up-with-ANC these are exciting.
    • Still working as it was brand new
    • And the touch controls work as well as you can expect them to work
    • Although this technology has greatly improved, the resulting sound quality will never be as good as without ANC due to the difficulty in not cutting frequencies that were part of the music
    • One other great feature is being able to leave my phone to walk away and the sound is just as beautiful as if I were near it or it with me
    • and I found that the Sony wire was better quality and longer in length than the one that comes with the QC.- Easy to use straight out of the box - where as with the QC I had to fumble with it a bit before figuring out all the buttons
    • The sound is great as well (remember, I'm not an audiophile) and I generally listen to pop, classical music, R&B, and modern instrumental
