I start to sweat around my ears if I wear these sets for a longer time, they are comfortable, got one of the best cushions but really?It seems like they are doing an excellent job with noise isolation and sound quality (outstanding) but losing the simple user-friendly features

They are also quite comfortable - I actually fell asleep listening to music on them on a long flight and slept soundly for nearly 4 hours!The sound is very good - but not really quite as good as the Noise Cancelling feature

Great noise canceling feature with full range of sound settings.

The noise cancellation is my favorite feature of this product

I really love the feature it has where you can temporarily allow outside sound by just placing your hand over the right ear

You can also adjust volume, advance and reverse tracks, and pause/play via tapping or swiping on the outside of the right ear cup (seems like this is not a new feature from the previous version, but new for me)

As expected, the sound quality and noise cancelling features of these headphones is great

My favorite feature is the fact that, without the power on, I can simply use the headphones as a wired one

While they both have similar sound quality to me, the features you get with these XM3's makes it so much more worth the price

I really like the feature of putting your hand over the right 'phone and having it mute your programming and temporarily stopping the noise cancelling, so that you can talk to someone

They are feature rich and highly customized (pictures of your ears are taken by the app to ensure optimization of audio reception).

There's also a slider for the degree of noise cancelation, and an "adaptive" feature that lets you adjust the noise cancelation based on… your location

I especially like is the feature that allows you to put your hand over the right earcup, and that defeats the noise canceling

I was in the market for a pair of headphones, and looking at the Bose QCII and XM3s (which I honestly found from googling and seeing which reviewers recommended, I'm in no way an expert on headphones).Most reviews led me to believe the XM3s were the way to go, but I saw a ton of reviews on Amazon that called out really awful features/issues.

NOISE CANCELLATIONOne of the best features of the Sony WH1000XM3 is noise cancellation

One nice feature of the app, is that it will ensure your previous volume level returns upon a disconnect and reconnect

My favorite feature is covering the right cuff will drop out all sound and turn the microphones on to highlight voices so you dont have to take them off if you dont want to.

The sound quality is great and the app has cool features to play with.

Some features are really good like touch controls, placing your palm to hear what other person is saying and the app makes your experience even better

Setting a frequency equalizer on top of everything played by the headphones is a neat feature

the outside noises change often, it can get a little annoying with the noise cancelling feature clicking on and off (there is 1-2 seconds of no sound when this happens).

The noise canceling was a good enough feature

I would never expect a set of wireless headphones to offer audio that is this impressive, and they also boast a great feature set.

The midrange is very rich and detailed and my favorite feature of the sound.

At least it doesn't time out and power-down after 10 minutes like the Bose 700 (another brain-dead feature IMHO).- noise cancellation is more effective on lows than highs, some highs bleed through, but not much.

-)As a pair of phones that I never take off, now that I am working from home, the switchable noise cancellation is a fantastic feature, here are it's modes described with my opinions about them:- in full noise cancellation mode it filters out most ambient noise, lets a little treble through, but not much.- in external sound mode, the mic actually pics up ambient sound and carries it through, works like a hearing aid, but with much better sound quality.

Phenomenal sound and features

For the noise-canceling technology, the different levels you can control the cancellation of the noise through the app is a neat feature

I am so impressed with the noise cancelling feature especially automatic changes in sound cancelling based on how they sense your activity (nothing worse than having all sounds cancelled out when you are walking IMHO)

I think I am very critical because the price point that Sony sets for selling its products, just like Samsung/Apple sells their phones/laptops at a high price, but do they not make justice with user-friendly features, reliability, and durability, where does Sony come in

This feature is wonderful as are the abundance of controls not common on even the best headphones

The features are absolutely lovely, though the touch controls take a little getting used to.

These headphones cancel the sound almost entirely!The app allows for tons of sound customization but my favorite feature is the sound direction

It's so satisfying, and personally, I find that to be the biggest most useful feature on this Sony headset.

Terrible touch features make it hard to pause, turn up or know how to do any of that

I also love the feature where you can momentarily turn off the noise cancelling when you place your right hand on the right ear

The headphones have cool features such as ambient sound which works well

I'm not sure how much this actually optimized the noise cancelling for my ears, but it seemed like a cool feature if it did work

The microphone is not the greatest feature and I rarely use it for calls

Being able to cup the right headphone to pause the noise cancelling to listen to people talking to you without taking off the headphone is a pretty cool feature

I’m not going to say that these sound nearly as good as most of my wired headphones, but for everyday-on-the-go-beat-them-up-with-ANC these are exciting.

Although this technology has greatly improved, the resulting sound quality will never be as good as without ANC due to the difficulty in not cutting frequencies that were part of the music

and I found that the Sony wire was better quality and longer in length than the one that comes with the QC.- Easy to use straight out of the box - where as with the QC I had to fumble with it a bit before figuring out all the buttons

The sound is great as well (remember, I'm not an audiophile) and I generally listen to pop, classical music, R&B, and modern instrumental
