I am also disappointed in the sound, again my sons less expensive Samsung sounds much better

The only problem has been occasionally losing sound while streaming I could get it back by playin with mute and volume buttons

It does have an optical plug so you could potentially hook up a sound bar to it though the sound on this tv is rich and crystal clear

The sound from the speakers is also very good for built in speakers although I would prefer a soundbar at the bare minimum.

The built-in speakers have a clean sound and deliver a surprising amount of volume but, like all TVs that I've ever seen, lack any meaningful depth or bass; they are working fine for us in the meantime until we get around to finding a suitable soundbar

We had so much fun learning to use this - I play cooking videos via you tube , exercise videos from the net and the kids use it for gaming and watching you tube as well as moviesSharp picture - Great sound - easily linked to my soundbar via bluetoothWe used with both Alexa and Google - you can easily disable Alexa if neededIt was so easy to set this up with my various accountsThe voice activated remote made it even easier to locate play and activate the different appsI am going to suggest TAKE the time to learn the different shortcuts and all the apps available to you

You should have a decent router and modem setup to take full advantage of the gorgeous 4K.The sound is decent for a thin TV, but I have a soundbar, and installed it onto the TV with the optical input.

Sound is actually better than I thought it would be

It is easy to connect to our receiver using a HDMI cable and (for the best sound possible) a optic cable as well

You're not going to hear deep thundering bass that will rattle the windows but you will hear enough bass that it has an overall decent sound

It displays with static, fluttering, sometimes no sound at all, and it flashes in and out.

But as time went by, the TV would occasionally lose sound entirely: nothing from the external sound bar or from the internal speakers.

The only issues I have so far is the TV makes a loud clicking sound when you turn it off and on and the sound is slightly distorted in a couple of my games, but picture is very good

The sound is good, but I never expect much out of a TV's built in sound and only used it to report in the review that it is pretty good for built in sound (frankly I wouldn't use it for anything other than watching the news).Overall, very pleased, but I think in this day and age, it may be a little overpriced compared to comparable TVs from other name brand makers.

Sound could be better

Unfortunately, a few weeks later the sound cut out completely and certain apps would freeze and stop playing.

Zero picture or sound lag issues so far, and we also use it to stream videos from apps like Peloton with no issues there either

The good:The tv itself has fantastic picture and more than adequate sound

Few issues with loosing sound.

We were excited to try a smart TV and at first it worked really great, but after about a month it has no sound through the smart home functionality, so our apps that I spent hours setting up don’t work and the only way to watch TV with sound is to watch through our Apple TV, which makes me wonder why we paid a premium for a TV if the reason I bought it was to get away from ad on boxes like Roku and Apple TV.We have spent hours trying to fix, ironically killing all the time we had to watch TV, frankly it’s not as satisfying engaging with a TV in this capacity

The sounds is excellent for tv speakers, but attaching it to our external soundbar was easy

This is great for very specific situations, but for most it’s of limited use since most sound bars don’t support HDMI and if you’re using an AV receiver, in most cases, it’s already capable of extracting the audio
