Sony enjoys a strong reputation for its headphones especially in professional audio
Sound quality: Crispy clean bass, not too much like other bass boosted headphones, but just right for classical, electronic and rock where I tested them(something Sony is always good at); good clear mids; vibrant tone; not too clear at the highs, I wish they(highs) were more pronounced but its probably to do with the tuning for the bass and all of that in such a compact size(30mm driver
Highly recommend these if your budget is under $70 as Sony is usually king of that range

The Sony MDRV6 can handle this abuse better than most
- Sony boasts enhanced bass, but really they should boast an enhanced dynamic range - I noticed some pleasant improvements in the mid and hi ranges as well as the bass.
but I can tell that they have better bass and top range response than earbuds and most headphones of this price range.
I love the added bass and the enhanced mid and low ranges
Music in the top and bottom ranges sounds amazingly crisp, almost like they're blossoming into symphony
The dangers include exaggerated (boomy bass) and less air flow making the ears hotter and more uncomfortable the longer that the headphones are worn

Headphones sound amazing...nice and crisp with a rich bass sound
For jazz, opera, and classical music I'd avoid these headphones as the extra bass would be really annoying
The bass is kinda loose and boomy, but to the average person this sounds good
But I could immediately tell these were not good quality and the bass was terribad
Compared to its more expensive brother, the sound quality is still there, but slightly worse
Very glad I bought them and the build quality is very good as well.
5/5 for the good sound(although slightly lacking highs), sturdy build quality while being extremely light, and for being an all around great pair of phones for $60
The sound quality and bass are pretty good for only having been a $40 pair of headphones
So, rather than return this set to get the better sound quality of the PX100, I'm going to keep them and appreciate the much better cord and better comfort and build quality
Got these for my 13 year old daughter for Christmas-I like the sturdy cord since her first pair stopped playing on one side, I'm sure the wire had broken inside the cord
I love that the cord is non-tangle; it's frustrating always have to untangle my earbud cables
Comfort, price, and the excellent flat, tangle-free cord are the best features
(if you are into listening to tracks with heavy bass).Number one annoyance is the cord, it's a Y style cord, with a cord going to each of the ear pieces
