    Soul Sacrifice - PlayStation Vita

    • The gameplay itself does seem to carry certain characteristics of the Monster Hunter franchise, but don't jump to any conclusions assuming that this was meant to be a MH knockoff, because it most certainly is not
    • If you're familiar with the Monster Hunter games you will feel right at home in this game, and if aren't this game will do it's darnest to get you up to speed with a solid and for once actually interesting tutorial
    • It is what makes this game stand out so much from the Monster Hunter franchise that I have compared it with so many times already, thus giving it a distinct feel of individuality
    • It fills the void left by the Monster Hunter series's departure from Sony's consoles so well it can only be seen as the next step in "Boss Hunt" model of action-adventure games

    • The quest system is similar to that of the "Monster Hunter" series, as in you have a menu of missions with objectives like 'kill a number of monsters', or 'kill this boss in this amount of time', and then you get dumped in a special area to complete the objective
    • I've owned a Vita for quite a while to get ahead of the game and be prepared for a new Monster Hunter game
