The gameplay itself does seem to carry certain characteristics of the Monster Hunter franchise, but don't jump to any conclusions assuming that this was meant to be a MH knockoff, because it most certainly is not

If you're familiar with the Monster Hunter games you will feel right at home in this game, and if aren't this game will do it's darnest to get you up to speed with a solid and for once actually interesting tutorial
