The only negative I've noticed is that the soft touch material of the hard plastic portion has started to peel but only at the power button

I also really like that the hard plastic on the black Tough Armor case is more of a rubberized grippy material rather than being a painted.

However I'm not sure the screen is protected, the area where the plastic is elevated to protect the screen during a fall is not high enough.

Good color/design but the plastic is too slick

The corners and top edges are slightly texturized, but the sides of the case are slick plastic

The plastic outer protective case will scratch very easily but better the case than the phone.

One key difference between the black and gunmetal is the outer plastic shell on the gunmetal is smooth plastic but the black has a rubberized texture coating on the outer plastic hard shell.

The internal TPU rubber layer feels well made and the hard plastic exoskeleton provides good structure.

So then I tried this, and guess what?, it's the same thin piece of rubber with a hard plastic middle

It was not a hard plastic case as advertised online

However I have an issue where the hard plastic nearby the side of the volume button is not flushed and seems to be raised by 1mm or so - pressing on it will show that it is out of tolerance as it will sink into the flushed position but will lift 1mm off again the moment the force is released

This case saved my bacon when the other case i ordered had cheap nasty brittle plastic inside, which then snapped on each corner.

The case wont sit right and the hard plastic part makes the screen protector pop up in the center

The kick stand on the back of the phone is a solid piece of hard plastic that extends through the case making contact with the back glass

That said, since the phone edges are curved, the phone tumbles as it falls and if it happens to hit the ground on the screen side, your screen will scratch (learned that the hard way)

Not sure it's going to protect my phone as well as the one I purchased from Spigen for my Samsung

The little kickstand is a nice plus, but t seems pretty flimsy

Other wise I was please it.
