Had this Spigen Tough Armor S8 case for about a month and I've been very happy

I've had this Spigen tough armor case with the kickstand for almost a week now

The black Spigen Tough Armor case compliments my black Samsung Galaxy S8 perfectly

The little kickstand is a nice plus, but t seems pretty flimsy

Good tight fit, but not too tight where you can't pull out your phone to clean

Very compact for a "protective" case, nice fit and finish and wireless charging works

I have had great protection with multiple drops from the same case on my S5 and S7, but this case doesn't protect the S8 very well.

I also really like that the hard plastic on the black Tough Armor case is more of a rubberized grippy material rather than being a painted.

One key difference between the black and gunmetal is the outer plastic shell on the gunmetal is smooth plastic but the black has a rubberized texture coating on the outer plastic hard shell.

The corners and top edges are slightly texturized, but the sides of the case are slick plastic

However I'm not sure the screen is protected, the area where the plastic is elevated to protect the screen during a fall is not high enough.

The case wont sit right and the hard plastic part makes the screen protector pop up in the center

No major trauma to phone but a couple minor drops were non events as they should be.

Not as sturdy as I thought it would be - the case is a little thinner and flimsy than as described so I am still worried about dropping the phone on the glass screen.

Took it's first drop today pretty well from waist height onto pavement.

No protection from falls on its face so no fifth star from my review.

The case is okay but the color of the hard shell is painted on and after a few weeks started showing black scratches on the back of the case

What also impressed me was that the outer shell that keeps soft shell snug did not pop off and stayed "glued" to it!

Bought the Spigen "Tough Armor" case for my Wife's Galaxy S8 and within 3 days the outer shell cracked from the side to the camera cutout

4 stars on the S8 model because the rubber doesn't stick out past the hard shell on the back

I dropped my phone again today and the entire screen shattered

I have only dropped my phone twice and the second time, with the case on, it fell approximately 3 inches to the ground and the screen shattered

There really isn't a way (for me) to tell if I'm pressing Vol+ or - and I keep hitting that damned Bixby button.

My only wish is that the case didn't have a button for the Bixby button on the phone because Bixby is garbage and I hit the Bixby button accidentally all the time

Other wise I was please it.

In addition, the annoying Bixby button is very prominent and has a grip which causes me to constantly accidentally activate the annoying Bixby.

I guess it was just bad luck, but ironically putting this case on my phone broke it instead of protecting it.

The case is compatible with the Otao tempered glass screen protector

Fits well with the tempered glass screen protector that I just put on.

Note: I do use a tempered glass screen protector in addition to the case.

This is also my favorite of the Spigen cases...and it works really well with the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector, which actually exceeded my expectations

Just don't use a tempered glass screen protector, the case will break it.
