My cover has seen better days

so make sure whatever you are using it on has time to air out... i gave my tent 2 days to air out and I no longer smelled it

The rain came through but not as bad as the day before.

Make sure you do this on a clear day to let them dry - starting early

It dried for 6 solid hours before night fall and a full day without rain.

I would say, it takes probably a good 2 days outside to get rid of the smell
