I doubt it could even be buckled onto a child greater than 75 pounds

Keeps my child safe, and head above the water, without leaning her forward.

My child did not sink while wearing this.

I would recommend them as a good child life vest.

I have purchased the oversize adult vests like this and they have work very well, and I have two small grand-children in the target range, so I purchased two of these youth sizes.

Strangely, the smaller child complained more about a tight fit, perhaps because the material has to be compressed much more to snug it down to his size and might be bunching up.

My child is well within the lb range, and somehow it is always riding up, and one side of the vest gets uneven, and the strap lowers (even when tightened)

Purchased these for two of my grand children.

Quality is great, but, my very lean and tall 7 year old child was being squeezed tightly in this jackets' most extended settings, especially the upper buckle

but I would buy a larger size if your child isn't super skinny.

The other child could barely buckle it, with significant discomfort, and she weighs 45 lbs.
