The pad is not super gooshy or plush, it does take considerable force to smash your wrist into it, this is so it gives a solid tracking feel, but it still is comfy to use

Has a great feel to it, the track of the mouse is right on, never deviates from it's pattern.

As expected from a Steelseries surface, the tracking is perfect for both my optical Salmosa and laser Razer Tron mice
