I would prefer if it held the guitar closer to the wall for aesthetic reasons, but I might feel differently if I were hanging a jumbo acoustic

I use this to hang my acoustic on the wall

I have three of these: one is being used as intended for hanging my acoustic and the other two are used for hanging my over-ear headphones

If you are hanging a lightweight acoustic, then the supplied hardware should be fine

This works for any of my electric guitars as well as dreadnought acoustic and my electric bass.

Now I have a flattop acoustic and a stratocaster securely hanging on the wall instead of laying around waiting for damage

If you have several instruments to hang together such as in a home studio or music room, it's almost ugly duckling appearance will go unnoticed... a fine art hanger it is not
