Well the point at hand (no pun intended), the meter will show you the "Location, Location, Location" of a Cell Tower and it's Value (Strength)!

So, this is the next best thing to buying an Android and running it in "Field test mode (with avalid SIM card)".For me, my maximum signal strength read was -49dBm

So, I believe that to be an error with the meter - allow me to rephrase, the only readable range on the meter was from -49 dBm to -70 dBm

Phone companies lost the war on signal, they can't lie past this device, I use it when trying to decide which hotel to stay at since my hot spot is used 100% of the time road trips (never use any hotel Internet (due to lack of security).

If a person needs a really strong signal increase, I believe that it would be a terrific combination with the SureCall TriBand Amplifier.

Great cellular signal analyzer, will tell you the carrier and band strength on LTE.
