If your mounting stands on anything other than carpet (and agree with C.) you'll need to put something under the base plate as the finish isn't smooth enough to insure no damage (new wood floor and wife would kill me) if the stands get moved

They we're the easiest to assemble, but once finished, they looked nice and did the job
