The office staplers can't handle the thickness, but the Swingline Optima works great with little pressure.

When i first bought this stapler I wrote a review that said "I am very impressed with how well this stapler is working and will continue to work

The first one worked great for a while, but now fails to push the staple through completely.

I've been using this for a while now and it has worked very well for my needs.
