    Synology 2 Bay NAS DiskStation DS218+ (Diskless)

    • I believe the issue has to do with Synology not supporting my Solid State Drive
    • I don't see myself needing to expand the hard drive quantities anytime
    • But if you are an average user, only thing you can possibly do is use it as a hard drive and save your data on those discs
    • If you get this NAS, make sure the drives you put in are specifically NAS drives [regular hard drives aren't durable enough] and on Synology's compatability list to ensure it all goes smoothly for you.
    • At night DiskStation runs a cloud backup to Dropbox and one to an external hard drive

    • I had more hard drives than I could fit in the 216 from the FreeNAS build, and the 216 was capable but sluggish.
