They both setup with the same amount of ease, but the DS916+ is a faster unit.
-
I will assume this unit is bad, and will be requesting a replacement.
-
Cool little NAS.This unit does not have enough power to transcode in
-
This unit was easy to setup and I was able to configure on my own.
-
Perfect unit for SoHo.
-
In general i have been recommending 6 and 8 bay NAS units, but with this 4 bay, i feel synology hit the sweet spot for the average SMB use case.
-
I received a bad DS218+ unit, but understand those things happen.
-
I'm not sure if I'm criticizing the unit or Synology's customer support.
-
Unit failed, replaced with refurbished
-
All in all, if you like synology nas products - you’ll probably like this unit for its flexible upgrade options, and good performance compared to older units.
-
This unit is faster than my old DS416, probably 8 times faster and accept any DDR3 memory available in the market, don't spend you money on expensive DDR3 modules, buy regular modules like me and enjoy
-
Then, after two uses over 72 hours, the unit refused to power up
-
This unit may work for you, or not
-
Unlike its competitor, this unit works like a charm
-
Love the unit and love Synology!!
-
Only regret is not buying a unit with more bays.
-
Would I recommend this unit
-
I think this is a very capable and robust NAS unit.
