Okay, so, this router has great range and speed, the number of features and settings is mind-boggling, and the UI for managing those settings is fantastic.

Range is much better than the R8000 it replaced.

It has great range (our home is a walk out basement) with roughly 1700 sq ft upstairs.

This router has excellent speed and range and has excellent parental controls that are very effective and great firmware all around.

The only con I have found is that the web interface, SRM, provides no information about your connected devices when in AP mode, but I can live with that when there are stable, reliable, long-range connections.

It has a 1.7Ghz cpu in it, which gives you very "flat" and stable tx power, and the range is impressive

Easy to set up, many options which provides very flexible config for everyone, much greater range than the old Linksys I was using, 2 year warranty, seems they have real user support unlike some of the other competing brands (based on what I read--have not had to contact them)

I have a repeater at the far end of the house, so range is not an issue, all my machines are on LAN so the switch takes care of the speeds and data distribution, as I use a 24 Port GIG switch, the 4 lan ports on the Router are not an issue as well

The Netgear had great range and speed, but the menu system was dog slow and it started having stability problems after 6 months

Set up is pretty easy, and the UI is relatively comprehensive (although it won't show you every device connected on each band, which is a big miss).Coverage is good with better coverage in a 3500 sq ft house, and it works as you'd expect in Access Point mode.

Not every manufacturer cares enough to support their products after it is sold to you, Synology's software and apps are the best in the business and everything just works as it should just like their NAS units.
