They never lost the internet connection, but they died after a year or two.

The next day the router lost the internet connection and I had to power it off and back on to reconnect.

But a couple days later it lost the internet connection and had to be power cycled again.

Speeds are better, connections are stable, range is better and the sluggishness of work VPN was resolved.

There were devices the Asus could reach and had no issue maintaining wireless connections which were unable to obtain a wireless connection
