Very solid, feature packed, and FAST router

I really like the feature that lets you schedule automatic restarts

Awesome router, love its features and will only get better with time.

the fact that you can download/add modules is a nice feature, and easy to do.

The ability for connected storage to turn this into a small NAS is an excellent feature

I am amazed by Synology RT2600AC its easy to use GUI, performance and tons of useful features

the user interface blows away any other that I have ever used; it is designed much like a windows system and it provides many robust features for the tech savvy and people that like to tweak their settings.

If Synology would like to pack all their bells and whistles into this feature rich router, they should have provided a better hardware, otherwise, what is the value by having this router?

And the router itself has handy features that make its use simple and convenient.

Looking forward to experimenting with all of the other features available like built in VPN client, intrusion protection etc.

These handy features seems to be designed not only for its use as the home router but also as a wifi router for a small business

The feature to extend the range of the device (as the range is very limited) does not work

This is handy for troubleshooting or just to get all the kids attention when they have difficulty dragging themselves away from their devices to do their chores (one of my favorite features!!!).

I like the nice touches like being able to disable the WPS button, controlling the LEDs so that they are turned on or off on a schedule (like, when you go to bed).One complaint, is that the guest network feature does not work all that well

SRM software is killer feature here

I wound up settling with the RT-AC5300 because it was almost as fast as the R8500 but had a better interface and features.

The router has a lot of great features that I like but the router I replaced, a Cisco E3000, provided a lot better wireless coverage.

The R8500 was faster overall than all of them but there was no way I was going to continue with replacements with repeated radio failures and wasn't going to put up with their tired interface and lack a features.

It has incredible features that make your investment really shine

Love the features on this router, but had to exchange it because the SD card reader was faulty.

The Synology has certificate support which can be exported to other appliances and allows SYSLOG as well as other features.

I wanted to use VPN with my iPhone 7 Plus but NETGEAR R7500v2 lacks L2TP VPN server feature

Upload speeds were equal and as good as or slightly better than other switches.- - - UPDATEFinally got around to testing additional 5 GHz channels and the ASUS

Set up is pretty easy, and the UI is relatively comprehensive (although it won't show you every device connected on each band, which is a big miss).Coverage is good with better coverage in a 3500 sq ft house, and it works as you'd expect in Access Point mode.

Not every manufacturer cares enough to support their products after it is sold to you, Synology's software and apps are the best in the business and everything just works as it should just like their NAS units.
