Absolutely LOVE the management user interface which is a lot like the one Synology uses for their NAS servers.

SRM is probably one of the best looking interfaces for a consumer grade router I've ever seen.

I wound up settling with the RT-AC5300 because it was almost as fast as the R8500 but had a better interface and features.

The interface is like all Synology products desktop-like (through the browser) and has tons of options and apps, more than you really know what do to with and far beyond whatever Netgear or Linksys put out at the same price points

Set up is pretty easy, and the UI is relatively comprehensive (although it won't show you every device connected on each band, which is a big miss).Coverage is good with better coverage in a 3500 sq ft house, and it works as you'd expect in Access Point mode.

Not every manufacturer cares enough to support their products after it is sold to you, Synology's software and apps are the best in the business and everything just works as it should just like their NAS units.
