Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker, Two Quart, Black

    • I just wish the filter was a little better.
    • The filter and pit are easy to clean.
    • The filter works great no sediments
    • Nice filter, hold a good amount of coffee.
    • You then fill the carafe with water and then shove it in your refrigerator for 24 hours, remove the filter, dump the grounds, and then you have concentrated coffee to dilute with ice and/or milk for the next few days
    • coffee! The plastic jugs wash easily in the dishwasher, and the filters are easily cleaned under the faucet with hot water.
    • And the worst part is that a new filter is like $5 less than replacing the entire thing
    • First, the filter is not quite fine enough to keep the coffee grounds out of the liquid
    • I feel like the filter is too fine for what makes good cold brew
    • It's easy to separate the basket from the rest of the unit to clean out the coffee grounds, and the basket is an effective filter.
    • I was worried about getting bits of coffee grounds in my coffee, but the filter in this is awesome and this is perfect to help me make coffee at home and start saving some money
    • Pitcher is good but dont like the filter
    • The filter is very easy to screw into the top and stays put
    • I miss a paper coffee filter but this wasn't terrible.
    • Also, the filter got ruined
    • The filter is easy to clean and all the parts come apart for thorough cleaning.
    • I've been using mine to make thai iced tea - the filter is fine enough that the loose leaf tea doesn't stray into the water
    • The inside filter holds all the coffee grounds nicely and without a huge mess - when it's done brewing, just dump them or use the grounds in your garden and wash the filter...no more ground to filter with a cheesecloth or mesh strainer
    • And that "THE FINE-MESH COFFEE FILTER in this cold brew coffee maker keeps grounds out of your freshly brewed pot - differing from other coffee machines." and that it is a Japanese product which I trust and prefer over every non-US manufacturer
    • Most annoying: my previous (broken) carafe had a filter that actually screwed off at the bottom
    • I've been filling the filter about two-thirds full and that works for me
    • It is essentially a pitcher with a two-piece detachable filter and an airtight lid with basically two "notch" positions - closed and "open enough to pour," though you'll probably just take the lid off when you serve.
    • The only downside is the filter feels fragile
    • This Takeya seals the filter so you can just shake it to mix and pour with the filter in as opposed to taking the filter out each time
    • The filter is fine so that coffee grounds don't get through
    • Not a plastic fan, but the filter is way better than my other cold brew makers.
    • Load the filter with coffee grounds, screw the filter into the cap, pour loads of cold, filtered water into the pitcher to start.
    • Dump grounds and rinse filter, let dry on paper towel on counter top
    • only used it for cold brew (not hot beverage). The complete removal of remaining grounds took some running water to coax out; but I much prefer the permanent filter that it uses versus something removable.
    • I use a baby bottle brush to clean the filter of the remaining grounds, and wash the pitcher/lid/filter with warm soap and water, then let air dry.
    • Doesnt seem like the water gets into the filter enough to get into the grounds and back out.
    • The filter is excellent
    • Washing the filter is easy, well that's because we have a spray faucet
    • The shape of the container is weird, and the filter where you put the grounds doesn’t drain well because the bottom is solid plastic
    • I am in love with this cold brew maker already!I used 28 tablespoons, filled with cold filtered water 3/4 full and let it go for 24 hours on its side
    • The filter feels easy to break but I’ve treated it kind of roughly when smashing it against the side of my trash can to get the used beans out
    • I use a reusable filter as support for the cone filter.
    • Very easy to use; simply unscrew the lid, fill the container ¾ way with filtered cold or room temp water, unscrew the pod from the lid, put in your coffee grounds, seal everything up and throw it in the fridge for 24 hours
    • The things i really dislike is that the filter is incredibly hard to clean
    • Attach the filter to the top, add water to almost the top and lower top/filter into the water
    • The only caution is that the filter is quite delicate, and it is tricky to rinse all the coffee grains out from the bottom.
    • Can't screw the filter in completely because a different plastic piece broke off
    • Furthermore, the pieces must fit together snugly to avoid leakage while brewing yet the filter is very hard to align with the filter extension and there’s no apparent reason for this (other parts go together smoothly)
    • Put the paper filter back into the replaceable filter and pour the coffee through it again, into the other container, for storage in the fridge.7
    • I have been using it religiously for months and it doesn’t leak & the mesh filter is holding up well.
    • The filter is solid at the bottom and sometimes requires a knife to remove the leaves.
    • Best Cold Brew Filter I have even used
    • The filter, I dump what I can shake out into the garbage then wait til later when the rest dries out to shake more into the garbage, because I really fear getting grinds in my garbage disposal I put a cheese cloth over the drain to wash it.
    • Just add ground coffee, filtered water, and shake
    • Easy to disconnect the filter, dispose of the coffee grounds, and clean out the filter.
    • The filter where the grounds go is a pain to clean
    • The filter has a threaded top, and the lid is threaded inside to accommodate it
    • (One might wash them in the dishwasher; I haven't tried that because I didn't want to harm the filters.
    • The filter is easy to clean and the design makes it so you can shake most of the coffee grinds out of the filter mechanism.
    • The filter is a bit hard to clean but I really love the ease of this coffee maker!
    • It is possible to clog up your paper cone filter but a quick rinse will get you back in service.
    • The coffee is good, filter is very easy to clean, but coffee still leaked out about 30ml
    • The only thing I don't like about the brew is cleaning the filter, the grinds at the bottom of the filter is hard to get rip off, just wish if they could mesh the bottom also for easier cleaning.
    • Filter comes displaced and falls to bottom 75% of the time
    • Only had it a month and the filter will come loose while brewing and grounds get into coffee.
    • The filter isn’t perfect, silt still gets through, but it works really well all things considered.
    • Combined with a quality burr coffee grinder, the filter tube has this amazingly fine filter material that does a good job straining the grounds while letting water permeate the grounds thoroughly
    • Love the filter on this one
    • I love the easy use and clean filter
    • Got the product, and the filter ended up breaking in the first few months
    • The filter is a pain to clean, mostly because the bottom of it is solid plastic, rather than filter, so you cannot backflush it to clear the filter
    • good filter**EXCEPT CLEANINGMinuses
    • but I will say the filter is super fragile
    • The filter works well for me
    • The filter is a pain to clean, mostly because the bottom of it is solid plastic, rather than filter, so you cannot backflush it to clear the filter
    • but the filter is insanely difficult to get clean between each use
    • My only possible complaint is that the filter isn't always easy to clean
    • Remove the filter with the brewed coffee and drain the coffee from the filter.
    • The filter is not the easiest to clean but then again, no filter is super easy to clean unfortunately
    • The filter is not the easiest to clean but then again, no filter is super easy to clean unfortunately
    • The coffee is good, filter is very easy to clean, but coffee still leaked out about 30ml
    • The only negative thing I could say about it, is that it is kinda hard to clean the filter
    • This led to a very diluted product and was ultimately useless for me as I like my coffee strong
