The instructions suggest giving the whole thing a vigorous shake once you have water in there, and you can do this without getting coffee grounds everywhere
This was the second best coffee thing I bought besides a milk frother
The only negative thing I could say about it, is that it is kinda hard to clean the filter
The only hard thing is screwing in the lid to the filter part, takes a few tries to get it right
I would not recommend this to anyone wanting to make iced coffee, I hate this thing
Definitely recommend grinding your own coffee beans for this as well as it gives it a much smoother taste.
I had another cold brew maker that involved a plunger-type design, but I was deterred from using it because I found it hard to clean and hard to filter out the coffee grounds
Been using this for over a month now and can report that this is an awesome cold brew maker
I love this coffee maker, however, it doesn't actually fit as much water/ coffee as you would think since the middle part takes up quite a bit of space
Love this cold brew maker for making my cold brew at home
Though i wish it came with more instructions on not just ice coffee but cold
My morning drink has been iced coffee, which meant brewing a pot, getting it into the fridge or watering it down with ice, maybe making ice cubes with coffee instead--basically a pain, plus the slightly burnt and acidic taste of once-hot coffee
Best iced tea, so much less hassle than boiling a bit pot of water, letting the tea bags soak and adding baking soda to cancel the bitterness and then waiting for it too cool down so you can have iced tea
I love this thing, saves me so much money and makes great iced coffee
I brewed my first iced coffee and it was the best iced coffee I
You just pull the mesh out and dump grounds and then leave mesh
I only noticed this when I went to dump the grounds and they were still dry
These were effective and easy, but I couldn’t get my favorite coffee grounds I had to go with whatever cold brew was out there
You then fill the carafe with water and then shove it in your refrigerator for 24 hours, remove the filter, dump the grounds, and then you have concentrated coffee to dilute with ice and/or milk for the next few days
: it's physically impossible to immerse enough grounds in the water to make a "concentrate".
The instructions tell you to use medium roast beans, but I love blonde roasts the
I used Chock full o nuts ground coffee and it came out amazing
Definitely recommend grinding your own coffee beans for this as well as it gives it a much smoother taste.
I find the best way to make it is to create my dark roast cold brew concentrate, and when i take the filter out to dispose of and clean, add cold water in the pitcher to replace the volume lost from when i put the filter in
Being a college student I needed the caffeine, so I bought it and grabbed a dark roast coffee for this machine (as thats what I was told was used when making cold brew at my job) and waited about 12-16 hours
