This device was fairly easy to setup and I use it primarily to connect the digital audio from my TV to my Bluetooth headphones.

It's a sturdy little Bluetooth device.

I wanted a way to redirect the sound from our (not smart) television to a portable device (we used our JBL speaker)

Lastly, pairing two devices doesn't always work as smoothly as I'd like

It was very easy to hookup,also bluetooth pairing was easy,i've had trouble pairing other devices like this,not this one it paired everything I have instantly.

Unfortunately this device is not compatible with the Samsung S8 phones.

though... if all you're going to use this for is a Bluetooth RECEIVER, then this device is definitely NOT worth the price

This device works perfectly by pairing with a set of wireless ear buds that lers her to listen to the TV at her comfort level while I can set the TV volume to a normal level for me

and I know soon we will have even better devices

Taotronics decided that the device might be defective and shipped a replacement product.

I understand why on the headphones they might not to save space (especially when just ear buds) but that isn't so much an issue with this device - worth taking up or adding a little mass to the device to provide that.
