But when I need to read something to usually type it into the computer I can either turn on the room lights which ruin my vision for minutes...or use a flashlight I keep next to my monitor to do such tasks.

After successful install-now I can mute TV volume or lower TV volume down to 0 and listen to TV through my Bluetooth wireless headphones without disturbing room mates and optional to increase volume to listen to both TV from TV speakers and/or listen through wireless headphones

A con here is that when the room is dark it's difficult to find the power button since it's not illuminated like other lamps, but for the price it's not a deal breaker
