Awesome bass response!

Excellent bass response (not muddy at all), tight mids, and clear highs

Bass is great, but even when tweaking the equalizer settings I never could find the clarity I was seeking in the full range

My college-aged son is currently using these, and like many of his age group, he likes the heavy bass.

What these headphones offer is a sound that I would describe as balanced and clear, without overpowering bass.

Even though they are far from "Professional Grade" as the name suggests, they are well built from hard plastic and the speakers have great bass response, decent midrange, and decent highs.

The cord is a great length and, while the sound isn't top notch, it has good bass and is a good pair for what you are paying for it.

The bass is rich, not just a loud thump like the BlueAnt Embrace Stereo Headphones with Apple Remote for Iphone 4, 5 and Ipad (which retail for 3x as much!

These headphones will appeal to those who like heavy bass.

For me there's a difference between bass presence and bass clarity: I'll gladly trade less `oomph' in the gut for the kind of definition the Tascam's bring out: warm, well-defined, with a crisp and clear treble edge
