Quite often it seems to get in to a state where it sounds like I am talking in to a fan (i.e. the sound gets really choppy)... even if I'm only listening to iTunes through it

Reaper may be light in RAM, but it is completely stable giving me a superb sound

Even though I was considering returning this device, after the 1.01 driver update I think this will be a keeper since I'm starting to consider to switch to Reaper anyway.tldr: quality hardware, okay installation, great sound, tight knobs and somewhat immature drivers.

With 57db of gain, non-powered mikes will sound great, and that sound is pretty clean

The headphone amp sounds fine and has enough gain to drive my old Sennheiser HD580 headphones
