This thing was a waste of money and my time.

In terms of the sound, this thing is really loud

This 4x4 is compatible with most popular DAW softwares, which is a good thing, as I had issues with both Cakewalk's Sonar LE and Ableton Live 9, which are the 2 DAW softwares Tascam gives you

Sounds like some people got a faulty unit, good thing they bought it on Amazon and
-
Most exciting thing here is the USB 3.0 interface

The other thing is that for a monitor mix, it's not unusual to have a little reverb in the cans

This thing is amazing!
-
this things great!

Only bummer for me is that Sonar is not Mac compatible - was looking for an easy to use DAW - Ableton is not always the right thing for me :)

The dials work very smoothly, although I do wish that there were some locations where they would click into place (e.g. at the midpoint) to help me line up the levels for multiple inputs (if connected to a computer, though, things can be fine tuned in software).Things that I really like (for my uses)

The nice thing is you can record all the tracks separately as you are playing live and remix later for a live album.
