This kettle gets extremely hot even with following the manufacturers instructions, the inside is difficult to clean, and we cleaned the kettle almost every 2-3 days and rust still set in, poor design, not stainless steel

However, I noticed the inside has some staining and the inside all around the base has rusted over and is black.

After four years from buying this tea kettle, rust developed on the bottom outside seam at the base and the inside must have had rust also, as the boiling water would come out brown.

Overall it holds up, but the inside is rusting pretty quickly and it doesn't get off when cleaned

The W&E is well constructed, a good quality stainless, maybe even better than the Alessi.
