I wouldn't rate this as a negative, and given how other furniture from China is using rougher and cheaper wood, this actually is a very nice solution to the sometimes crude look and feel that comes with it

Fully extended, the top section could feel a bit wobbly, but it's sturdy (this is not a solid wood, immobile podium)

I'd say get the black finish rather than the fake wood look

Although the design is wonderful and the hardware is fine (hence the one star), the "laminated PVC surface" is nothing more than woodgrain CONTACT PAPER over cheap wood!

Maybe a better quality pressed wood, but the wheels are kind of cheap and the aluminum risers for the desk are tightened and held in place by two thumb handle screws

I am not going to say the fake wood grain is pretty... other than pretty 1970s

As others have pointed out, the orange color is ugly and the wood is cheap, but I've found this to be a very functional and versatile computer stand

The cart is quite sturdy, adjusts to a maxinum height of 44 inches and is very mobile (especially on a hard wood floor)

Speaking of aesthetics: although this piece is well made and practical, I find the fake wood grain vinyl veneer pretty unattractive

Wood is really solid and it was super easy to assemble

That should give you an idea of how delicate the fake wood covering is--I actually nicked a corner against my hammer and scraped a bit off

But, you run the risk of stripping the "fake wood stuff" its made of and where the caster fits

Don't use too much force, which may damage the wood
