Assembly wasn't too difficult and once I got it together, adjusting the height of the desk between sitting and standing is easy, though the screws used to hold the bars in place quickly scratch the finish on the support posts
I have no problems adjusting the height to sit or stand

The top shelf does lower more than most of the info says, and the glides lower it even more.
The keyboard stores easily on the shelf underneath the top shelf
So I didn’t have the top shelf and used the lower top for my laptop
and it is only a matter of time before someone overtightens the knob, breaks the plastic piece, and the top shelf becomes totally useless
I liked the size and the ability to lower and raise the top "laptop" shelf.

(We don't really ever adjust it; even though we're six inches apart in height, the proportions of our bodies are such that we both like it best where it's at.)My only complaint is that the faux wood is actually some sort of mysterious plastic covering.
We have a mix of carpeted and vinyl flooring in the office, and I have broken off 2 wheels (which are actually cheap plastic casters) on the rubber trim that lines the edge of the carpet as it transitions onto the vinyl flooring.
I read the 1 star reviews on this item and I was very hesitant to buy it b/c of the complaints about not being easy to assemble and the parts not fitting together
