It's solid built, looks elegant, take up very little space, and the rubber pad inside does protect the Mac pretty well from scratches

Though similar to a traditional laptop stand in appearance and size, the Vogek Vertical Laptop stand is designed to provide the best possible cradling for your computer experience, all with a great color scheme and design aesthetic.

BUT the design is such that inserts are too loose or too tight for MacBook Pro (Retina display) and for the price just doesn't work for me when all said and done.

The stand bears the full weight of my 2009 macbook pro and seems to help with the unbearable heat conditions that plagued my old laptop when I have it on my bed.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap laptop stand to put on a desk.

It comes with four inserts to handle a variety of modern-sized laptops and after watching a YouTube review I came to find that I needed to use two of the thinnest inserts together for a nice fit

Some of the customer reviews led me to believe the the Vogek might be a poor fit

The inclusion of the two rubber liners makes it dead-simple to get a good fit to hold your favorite (or not so favorite) laptop

Design is great but the fit for my 2010 MacBook Pro is terrible since it won't fit if I use the silicon protectors that came with it
