This musical instrument is amazingly designed (both on the hardware front, where the OP-1 feels like an Apple device, and on the software front, where the OLED screen coupled with sleek typography and clean graphics really make it shine), oozes with functionality, and offers a fully featured way to quickly prototype tracks

As I write this, the OP-Z has been released, and many people on social media are (1) complaining about the OP-Z's battery life (3 hrs max at the moment) and (2) regretting not buying an OP-1 instead.

And learning the OP-1 is fun in itself which you will find your "niche" in the style of music you produce

The OP-1 is definitely the cure for people who spend too much time playing with gear and software and not actually making any finished music

The OP-1 is a classic in it's own right and will be a well sought after instrument for years to come.

I love my OP 1.

Personally, I complement the OP-1 with a few different iPad synth apps like Animoog that are multitimbral and have a much greater range

For me, the OP-1 is inspiring, fun, and like nothing else in my studio
