Tenda AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit Performance Wi-Fi Router with Open Source Support (AC18)

    • I hard wired to service to this wifi
    • I was always hard wired to my router before so my old router was really only for my phone and my laptop that I rarely used.
    • So if you want to use this as a way to connect hard-wired ethernet to a WiFi connection, look elsewhere.
    • If your network card can take it or you need a new one, this sucker will give you fast speeds or whatever you are paying for with your network provider, It's almost as fast as being wired, pretty much the same speed.
    • Seriously, everything upstairs runs as fast (or seems to) as hard wired ethernet.
    • I bought this because it has WiFi WDS bridge mode, so I could use it to extend a WiFi connection to two hard-wired ethernet devices.
    • Still working fine with at least 7 wireless devices daily connected to it and 1 wired.
    • The 3 cheap routers all burned up because I had them acting as bridges in a garage with faulty wiring
    • So we installed this and set it up so that the WiFi comes on a little bit before opening and shuts off soon after closing (his equipment is hard wired so his internet won't go away if he's there early or late). As a side note, there are only 3 hardwire LAN ports on this router
    • Keep in mind the router is operating wirelessly in bridge mode and not hard wired into the
    • When connecting printer to wifi or even direct hard wire same result
    • Gigabit Ethernet is a wired Ethernet standard found even in home networks today, so Tenda missed the boat with their slower wired ports
    • Most routers have to be set up hard wired to a pc
    • I like how clean looking the device isI dont like how one of the antenna was so lose it would not stay in place, but I suspect that was a fluke - the other one is perfect!I like the user interface - very good.
