The pages are thicker than your average journals, the pen holder holds my skinniest of pens in well , and the strap keeps it’s closed tightly

I have tried many products in the past, but this one really stands out to me so far as being durable and the pen holder is so flexible to allow for many different styles of pen or pencil.

Specifically, the compact size (but large page count) is perfect to allow me to easily take it wherever I go,...but more than sufficient to allow me to make hundreds of journal entries (which is critical for learning a complex language like Japanese).I also appreciate the handy pen holder slot and the sleeve at the back for a few necessary items like a small ruler and tabs
