It didn't stick to the uneven surface of my textured dash, but using the extra 3m tape provided, it's held on to the smoother (and slightly curved) plastic portion of the dash.the magnet is plenty strong enough for my iPhone 8

The only down side to them is they wont stick to a textured surface like most dash boards but if mounted to smooth surface it holds
